regarding spoilers and flavor.....

This is a GoT themed game. It's impossible to make a GoT themed game without referencing the source material of GoT. Even if I were to make the flavor as non-canonical as possible, the most anal of critics could still find something they deem to be a spoiler. There will be references to things introduced into the series as late as book 5, and as early as the Dunk and Egg novellas. However, I will not be spoiling the story of any ASOIAF material. If you consider learning that the character Victarion Greyjoy exists to be tmi, then I recommend reading the game with your eyes closed as to avoid any "spoilers."

tldr: The flavor will use names of stuff from asoiaf, but will not reveal any spoiling information about what role they play in the story.

As stated in the OP, spoiling stuff from the show/books is against the rules. Use common sense. You can talk about asoiaf all you want as long as you don't ruin the fun for others.

Seeing as how this game will be starting on thursday with a silent n0 making the first day of thread discussion start on friday, would anyone rather this game be delayed till monday in order to avoid a weekend start?

I'm also considering adding 6 more spots, so there'd be an extra player in each house. The signup list is full so if enough people come in saying they want to play I might open up some more slots if I can make sure the game stays balanced.

If you add in more spots, I will respectfully drop out as a replacement. I can't handle a game much larger than 20 players.

The current starting time and player amount seem good to me. I have more time on weekends anyway. I'm somewhat open to more players though (if there is real demand).

Does the player permanently become a Lord after becoming the last remaining player of his House?

I think this system works fine as long there are 3+ players in a House. Once there are only 2 players, it gets kind of ridiculous (basically an automatic 1-1 situation unless the other player is confirmed town). When there's only 1 player left, well... It pretty much defeats the purpose of this system (no matter if he permanently becomes a Lord or loses his way of becoming a Lord).

I feel like something major should be changed in order to make this system more functional. Here are some ideas:
1) Making 5 Houses with 4 players (adding 2 new players, for example the replacements or other new players) - increasing the amount of time where the voting system mostly remains "working as intended"
2) Giving players different "vote values" with their roles - this would resolve the tie issue (these "vote values" could be balanced with the rest of balance-changing role factors)
3) Making the *requirement* for becoming a Lord to receive majority votes (2-0, 2-1 or 3-1 depending on the remaining players) - this solution would also resolve the tie issue - you'd have to decide between no Lord at all or someone else than you being Lord
