Well, by iGrok's definition, fun is a deck that cannot have sealed in the win by turn 4. That includes pretty much all non combo decks. That makes me think the MTG games have changed quite a bit since I last played.
Anyway, as I said in pm to iGrok, define fun. I personally had a lot of fun playing blue control decks, but I doubt anybody else qualified them as fun, because generally their way of winning was slow and tortuous. I also had fun with my griffin deck, but to win I relied on it being multiplayer and everybody leaving me alone for quite a long time.
The deck I thought would fit this theme is neither. It's fun in the sense that it is aggressive and relies on creatures and has a theme. However, it is not a bad deck which relies on the good will of everybody else to let it get going.

I dont mean it has to be bad! I just mean win in standard or modern by turn 4.

For example, im plannijg on running a 100 card deck that would get absolutely crushed in standard, but it should provide a lot of laughs.

If anyone has any suggestions for a green ramp deck or a black green deck of some sort I'm totally looking for suggestions. I generally played RDW or Solar Flare(the innistrad version) last time I played standard, but control doesn't seem fun/practical for this and RDW would probably ruin a person or twos game and knowing me I probably wouldn't hit the scum.

I know I started the "lets play fun decks" idea, but now I think maybe we shouldn't. Its too easy for someone to get angry based on the fact that a deck isn't fair because it isn't fun. :/

For those refining their deck, I found http://www.mtgdeckbuilder.net/ to be rather useful. However, I really want to test my deck by playing it a bit against other people. If anybody NOT in the game wants to play some magic using any of the myriad of free tools, I would be much obliged. Kinda want to keep my deck a bit of a secret for those in the game.
Why did nobody want to hydra with me? :o

Well if we aren't doing fun decks I'll make one tonight.
Arco if you can't find anyone I've got like 4 or 5 ideas I want to playtest just to get a feel for them if you wanted to come up with a couple decks that you wouldn't use but are playable we could test like 3 each without giving it away completely. When I played standard I was usually like 8-12/24-30 in FNM so I'm by no means good though.
Otherwise parroting Arcos request, but only after he finds someone.

EDIT: okay, that was exactly what I was looking for  Also, good news for everybody! My deck is getting completely pwned by other vintage decks. They all seem to be combo into death kinda deals (of course, Artanis made me take out all the moxes and stuff, so everybody else has that but I don't)

I'll download it tomorrow if anyone wants to play. Wouldn't really plan on plsytesting to make sure it's a good deck or anything, just to get a feel for it in general. More to avoid dropping an unburial rites on some 4cmc creature without realizing I could get a wurmcoil engine or some equally dumb play just cause I don't know older cards that well (if that makes sense).

I assumed you wouldn't want to hydra after ACME. I also just pm'd the first guy looking for a hydra in the thread (MG) but he already had a hydra buddy and said Gonzaw was looking. Mostly laziness.

heh, absolute total fail in 1v1 vintage. need P9 to get it faster and FAR more disruption to stop other people's shit (and something to stop wastelands from fucking me up). However, I get the feeling that it'll be fun in a multiplayer setting, so I'm sticking with it.

Guys I don't think we should do fun decks now since I realized people will have too very different definitions of Fun, and that will make people angry about perceived cheating/unfairness
