I still consider Fnatic and Gambit top 2 in EU as well. SK is up and coming for sure, just need to see more consistency from them. KT B isn't top 4 KR. Neither is WE or iG for CN. So if anything, LCS regions more or less sent their best. Asian regions sent B teams.

KTB isn't top 4 in Korea at the moment. Their play in Masters was terrible and they haven't had a game at Champions, yet. Gambit put up a really good fight though. The disparity is smaller than expected.

Asian regions sent B teams. I'm just honestly surprised CLG has been doing...non-CLG strategies into the mid/late game, and they're putting together a strong record recently. As of now, I don't think XDG or Crs will be able to put things together by the end of the split (maybe by Summer). While Dig is improving, I feel they are improving relatively slower than other NA LCS teams (notably CLG). Forsee a mid-ranking from them, maybe a "safe" relegations slot" Outside of that,, more or less agree with everything. Would've liked to see TSM instead of Millenium and see if they continue their lopsided loss-record against KR, or SK. I think the one thing we can take away from this currently is that the gap between Asian and Western teams isn't insurmountable. I look forward to excellent games panning out for All-stars. Also for a burgeoning C9 vs Fnatic rivalry. dat S3 Worlds repeat set doe

Did you see the part where I said I was being nice? I mean, this is my favorite team we're talking about here.

a lot of korean teams are players with little experience put together and trained under a more or less strict meta. outside of this training wheel meta can they adapt to the crap that glorified amateur teams from the west can throw up? eventually yea, when their coaches research everything thoroughly but when they don't you can still get stuff like worlds ozone.

1 Korean team, 1 North American, 3 (?) Chinese, 3 EU. Plus Double Elimination format with Bo1 which favors weaker teams.

How does it favor weaker teams Oo The best 2 go through Only system that is more fair is a full round robin which would be 2 more games per group which they don't have time for.

Teams have to prepare for Champions and Masters, so it's actually a surprise that KT B managed to fit it into their schedule. More LPL/GPL teams accepted the invite than NA teams is what you have to presume. Personally, I think after C9's Worlds performance, they're probably the hungriest NA team for international competition. Although not sure why big name teams like CLG, TSM, dig would pass on this opportunity, assuming they got an invite. Fielding a lot of EU teams for an EU event shouldn't be a surprise. Overall, it makes sense, given the situation. Also, the format is fine imo. Edit: @scrubtastic: closing games out in 60 min > not being able to close out games. l0l
