Still, thanks to SKT's match-fixing shenanigans (I kid, I kid) at least there's a chance we will avoid Faker and co. and be crowned glorious kings of the NLB once again! Also it just occurred to me that I have absolutely no idea what NLB stands for. Anyone know?

Prime just played games of their lives, after their roll of KT A in OGN qualifiers, rolled S. Unusual play from S? Every game when Easyhoon doesn't play Ziggs and Marin doesn't play Renekton is unusual. Prime just was way better. I'm curious what could happen if they were in a different group and not in that.

Finally an intelligent post. Prime banned against S very well as mentioned. Prime came in with a legit strategy and game plan, executed well (despite all the missed skill shots/ults lol), and had a better grasp on what they were doing as a team. Prime played amazingly to win this set, and if they weren't in a group of death (KTA/ SKT T1 K and S), I think they might have had a legit chance to advance.

As long as the sister team structure exists and situations arise where a team losing would ultimately be beneficial for their parent organisation, these suspicions are going to continue.

Imagine the upside for SKT if Team S advances to the quarterfinals. They get validation as not just a "secondary" team to Team K and they get the chance to show what they're made of on the big stage and gives their newer players experience going against better teams. It also gives Team S's players a lot more confidence and when their newer players get more confident they start to play more consistently and really solidify their identity as a group of players playing the game the way they want to play.

I don't disagree with the points you made, but I do think that the benefits of having a proven (and marketable) team like K in the playoffs is much greater than giving an inconsistent team like S more of a chance to prove themselves. SKT would be relatively confident that K have the chops to take the title yet again; that means collecting the prize money (not insignificant) as well as further boosting K's enormous profiles both in Korea and abroad. Faker is quickly becoming one of the most recognisable players in e-sports history, in an era where e-sports is really starting to flex its muscles globally - if K manage to win Champions again for an unprecedented third time, they will cement a legacy that will be remembered for years to come. All I'm saying is that while it's completely unfair to accuse SKT of deliberately throwing a match, it's also naive to think that it wouldn't be worth their while to attempt it, and it is therefore valid to be suspicious of such a highly unexpected result in these circumstances. Teams have thrown games before and I guarantee you it will happen again. It will all be a moot point if S win the tiebreaker though.
