Pretty sure if dota had something similar it would be #1 on lol subreddit as well.

Yeah because the DOTA2 subreddit doesn't need actual facts to bash LoL and RIOT, they LOVE when they get actual facts that they can bash RIOT with.

They updated the article
Update, 11:20AM PST: onGamers has confirmed with the team representatives that LCS players are disallowed from streaming the games listed below outright, not just when adjacent to a League of Legends stream. Under Section 3 Rule 4 of the new contract handling 'Non-League Events and Streaming', it states that "... the [LCS] Team shall ensure that, during the Term of this Agreement, its Team Members do not publicly stream gameplay of the titles set forth on Exhibit B". Exhibit B states "the specific restrictions on streaming are set forth in the Sponsorship and Streaming Restricted List, as updated by the League from time to time", which is the document listed below.
Now why wasn't this posted initially? Or why hasn't the actual text been posted yet?

Welp, fuck Riot. i'm still holding out until i see the entire contract. It's too easy to pick and choose things in legal documents.

because slashers MO is click bait above all else, so constant article editing gets him repeat views for the same piece of work.

i think its much more likely that rito wont say anything and just move on. its how they handle everything else that pops up and its worked for them so far.

Will having Hearthstone or DotA2 in the client impact their bottom line that much? I honestly don't think so. . It could even benefit them. If Lol streamers are very popular dota/hearthstone streamers, and people have to download LoL client to watch them, then thats more active account numbers to brag about, as well as potential new customers.
They will probably still be streaming from Twitch even when the streams are built into the client and I doubt people who want to watch Hearthstone would tune in to watch 15 minutes of Hearthstone when LoL players are in queue.

he does this all the time, nothing to do with rushing out this 1 particular piece.

Which is exactly the problem when people constantly force a zero-sum framework on everything. There was a chance for a win-win before activating the pitchfork brigade. Now, for the public to win, Riot has to "lose", which leads to the exact situation you described, where the only win condition is to pretend that this never existed.

At the end of the day riot can do whatever they want. It just is sad for some of us that have been involved in competitive gaming for years and across multiple titles. Tried so hard for so long to grow the scene and all this anti-competition stuff Riot does goes against everything we have done for so long.
