If he lands the Slice though you're sort of screwed without counterplay. I start 31 armor runes vs Renekton. GP passive actually sort of counters poppy | ||

I mean it's bronze, bordering on silver. Why don't you play a champ that you are good at and you know well? Sure I bet you want to channel some Faker or Cool or whatever, but come on, at least have a go at working out how the kit works. Particularly the troll pole. e.g. I first picked Morg mid and the other guy picked Fizz into me. I had 6 kills in fairly short order. | ||

I was under the impression that Poppy was a really terrible laner and that Renekton is a lane bully. Sure, Poppy has her passive and W to make it more difficult for Renekton to trade as well, but Renekton still gets to harass for no cost with sustain. | ||

Renekton might get semi free harass, but Poppy's E-Q combo is quite nasty too, and she can build early armor to ignore him completely - Again freefarm on a champion that scales incredible into late game. Poppy is a weak laner, but if the opposition can't punish it, she WILL outscale him. | ||

Olaf might feel weak if you just run in and die, and meh if you run in and don't die, but from their perspective everyone focusing an olaf who still doesn't die is extremely frustrating to deal with. | ||

And in the case of GP, that damage in return is a DoT that bypasses the passive, and GP can just heal up with oranges. Renekton has his Q for sustain, W to stop you from doing anything, and EE to keep himself as safe as possible. EQ does hurt, but a majority of the E damage only hits if you manage to collide against terrain. Anyone that knows that can just sit in the middle of the lane, since top is so damn wide that secondary damage and the stun is never going to hit. Poppy can burst, but with her pitiful mana pool and prohibitive costs on her E and her Q not being spammable, she won't be able to stay in lane nearly long enough to make it to that monstrous late game. Edit: Renekton's skills have no cost. Not semi-free, free. | ||
