I think that Smite does this much better. Even though in it you get half gold if you don't lasthit and actually can buy an item that makes you gain 100% of the amount of gold someone else gains next to you when they lasthit, there's still slight differences in farm(carries will get more). However, the supports(tanks in that game) still are useful the entire game and playing well as one can definitely make your team win even if you get 0 lasthits throughout the game. That game however has a ton of stacking items that stack on lasthits so you still need to know how to do that if you want to buy those(they generally are very cost-efficient).
I think that the whole "passive gold = less skill" mantra is pretty flawed.
Oh and one thing that would help with 100% farm allocation would indeed be cheap-ish items that have good ACTIVE effects but relatively cost-inefficient stats.

I think we all basically agree with what they want to try to do. They want to reduce the importance of vision, they want to increase the viability of farm-style junglers, they want supports to have better item choices.
Everybody wants these things.
What follows is this giant clusterfuck of "Well Riot will probably do this but that's dumb Riot should do that" which will go for days and not accomplish anything.
Lets wait until they actually show some changes before we pick it apart. There's plenty of other LoL related things to talk about.
I wouldn't have posted in such depth if I agreed with "what they want to try to do".
Morello didn't say that Riot wants to increase the viability of farm-style junglers or provide better item choices to supports. Those would be goals I could agree with. What Morello did say is that Riot wants to fix the "gold flow" for junglers and supports. That's something else entirely.

Spoiler alert - it doesn't work very well.
It's against Shen and the enemy Lee isn't camping him so it seems he's been holding himself well. The nature of Viktor's W makes him really weak against gapclosers (it only works if they're far enough that they'll get stunned before they get into gapclosing range, which means considering W's range that they were too far to pose any threat to you to begin with; and if you drop it under you before they gapclose, they just don't and punish you while it's on cd; after they gapclose, that's still between 2 and 2.5s to damage you, more than enough for most off laners to either all-in you (Darius, Kennen, etc.) or outdamage your retaliation even with the stun) and he doesn't have enough killing power or late game scaling to make him worth sending there over most laners.
(Voyboy himself was playing Lissandra mid, seems like he's only playing mid in every game I've seen today.)

It just wouldn't be you if you didn't turn my 7 word sentence into a paragraph ;P
Shen will hit ~lvl 7 and Vik won't be able to touch him, especially if he's just gotten a little bit of MR.
edit: one upside is the ability to stop Shen's tp two ways

He's stated already that Curse isn't making any role/lane swaps, he's just expanding his champion pool.

I'd actually be pretty okay with this.
Me too. Voyboy is the play maker and Jacky hasn't improved all season. He was positioning himself to be the best mid in NA with his performance in season 2 NA regionals but he has just stagnated

That's stupid. The NA scene will remain shit as long as they are unwilling to threaten poor performance with benching. Don't even cite CLG, it doesn't need to be discussed why their benching never works. We all already know

You complained last time because I only used one sentence to trashtalk your skin choices. Spoilt brat.
(Fwiw Viktor ran tp because he knew he wouldn't kill Shen, and Viktor tp-ing with ult up can indeed ruin quite some botlanes' day.)
I agree with voy moving mid, which is more adapted to his assassin style. About jacky, I really like him and it makes me sad because I think he can't really stay in the team as he is right now. I mean, he showed he has trouble dealing with 1v2 lanes more than once, and his champion pool is rather shallow (I mean, he doesn't even play zed, wtf)
Such a cool guy, I genuinely hope he can pull a Homme and make a strong comeback, but I'm worried.
I wouldn't mind voyboy mid since it'd suit his love for assassins much better and have nyjacky play tanky top so he can keep his utility. Basically, make curse an NA version of NiP. Hell they've already finished in the same spot why not go the full mile.

Why put Jacky top when you can put Rhux top? Rhux is pretty good you know and he actually mains the role.

Because curse probably won't bench nyjacky due to blinding levels of friendship or some bs.

As a curse fan, I love Jacky. He's awesome and funny, but if he isn''t performing up to expectations maybe someone needs to light a fire under his ass.

Because Chauster is the new Hotshot?
Wtf Chauster is a god. Only reason for CLG's success. His brilliant mind is unparalleled. Did you see his crescendoes? HE MISSED TO ZONE THEM. What a genius 10/10 support
Fking team can't follow up on Chauster's godly zoning.

jacky is good crs jut doesn't let him play a lot of champs for some stupid reason even though it's obvious their current strat hasn't gotten them anywhere, so might as well try something new
