Asking because I was playing league late last night, and I had a dream about a Super Smash Brothers moba and, needless to say, it was pretty sick. Pokemon could also make an AMAZING moba and is already kind of balanced around everyone having 4 skills. I know that pretty much every member of this forum would totes buy a pokemon moba. Alakazam Mid. Scyther Jungle. Dragonite Top. Blastoise / Jigglypuff bot. Bam. If there was a Pokemon MOBA this entire forum would convert, even if it sucked. In a heartbeat.
Pikachu would be =Teemo. Calling it.

A Chinese DotA commentator made a joking reference to the idea of Disney DotA in one of his videos.

Also, I thought of a few decent ways to limit the 2v1 meta:
1. Extend EXP range. Thus the advantage gained from zoning is only gold. (Also reduces the snowballiness of Lanes in general, which Riot always has wanted) 2. Decrease the shared EXP bonus. This would merely make the dives less powerful as the 2 in the 2v1 would be crippled.

Wait we finally have LoL in a state where teams are actually playing lane arrangements other than 1-1-2-jungle mirrored and we have people asking how to go back to that? Fuck that. I like my laning arrangement diversity than you very much.
Not to mention that some potential solutions to blue/purple imbalance inherently push the game back toward mirrored lanes to begin with (one of the driving forces for lane swaps was the map asymmetry).

No one wants to play protect the hydra and the freaking zealot jungler noob can't protect me. Everyone knows AP zealot is better than AD zealot. Report noob zealot pls.

How does DotA fight lane asymetry, btw? Apart from lane arrangements being somewhat close to current LoL lane swaps if I heard it well. First pick to the Dire?

I just want (from a spectators perspective) for there to be intrigue when the fog of war is taken away. And currently, low level dives have none unless the 1v3 jungler has sufficiently hid himself.

Then the solution is to make 1v2/1v3 gameplay more interesting, rather than discouraging it.
TBH I'd actually say right now the problem with 1v2 gameplay is that 2v1 favors pushing too much compared to zoning the 1v2 laner. It should be a tradeoff so that teams might be playing their 2v1s in different ways rather than everyone just fast-pushing and 3v1 diving.
Choosing between the global gold benefit of fast-pushing a tower vs. freezing the lane and denying their 1v2 laner harder should be a real decision.

first of all how do you change the xp range/boni? and why do you want to make 2on1 lane setups less efficient? 2on1 lanes tempo up the games alot which is a good thing. also theres alot of finesse involved in setting up such lanes, lane-swapping and it really shows how adaptive and smart the players involved are.

That would favor buffs to outer towers in some way. Perhaps something like a Doran Shield-like property where attacks have a flat amount reduced after armor, so low levels have a tougher time killing them. Or something with aggro, which is much too easy to juggle (I.E. turrets try to execute).

Changing XP range is really easy. You make it 1._ times what the current amount of units is. The other suggestion kinda sucks for supports in all cases so I would disfavor it.

And actually there is no real reason 1v2 lanes aren't being played ina zoning fashion as it is right now anyway. Supports like Taric, Ali, and Soraka could easily freeze waves and have other wave push by clumping up enemy creeps before waves meet so they focus fire their own creeps. If done right I think even like Chogath would only get 1 maybe 2 creeps per wave.
Zoning only good if the other team doesn't push.

I just want tri-lanes Honestly, with the way junglers play, it's more or less analogous to trilanes. It's just instead of having one support pulling 1-2 camps for XP, they have to clear more of the jungle because the jungle is easier to clear and because the per-camp gains of just doing 1-2 camps isn't good enough.
But otherwise you more or less right now have the equivalent idea of one "babysitting" support and one "roaming" support.
