I used to start phage -> boots -> mallet, but I like the build now better. I've found Stinger to be a good first item in the jungle (originally suggested by Monte). The AS combined with W is super nice to have. Also from his build, having boots2 first (or near first) lets me stick on targets just fine until going for Phage. Didn't try that yet. Can you give the full build? Would be interested to try.

It's Mach5 -> Armor Boots -> Stinger -> Phage -> Fro. Mal -> Tanky. You go WQWE, then R -> Q -> W -> E so you're a % health unkillable initiation monster.
Edit: Hmmm... it might be time for a Vi thread with all the discussions about her. Gotta use that Strategy Forum!

Do we know how much losses we can afford before getting a demotion (After we just got promoted?)

Depends on your MMR, which is hidden, enjoy.

I don't see how Stinger is a good first item on jungle Vi, her w is a 1 point wonder and gives a decent AS steroid with the 3rd attack, her E has huge AD ratios with 115% . Bruta way better imo
Elder Lizard vs Ancient Golem is debatable, Madred/Wriggles not necessary imo, she kills even buffs so fast, you barely take any damage because of her passive, maybe for early dragon strats.

The only way you can get demoted is by not playing for a month or something like that.

1.15 isn't "huge", each hit of Xin's Q does more damage. Vi's E is good as AoE, not that great as single-target damage. I only get stinger after phage though, sticking power and early HP > pure dps stats.

It gives more attackspeed to get to the W burst faster. Not only that, you can turn it into Zephyr for ridiculous amount of cost effectiveness and tenacity. Frees you up to get SotEL if you so desire.

Sticking power is important to winning fights. There's a 56.25% chance that an auto+reset will not apply Phage slow. Bad luck can mean your target uses an escape ability and begins kiting unimpaired. For a champion like Vi who doesn't have endless, unblockable gap closers (e.g. Xin Zhao) that can be fatal during a team fight.
You can get around this by letting Vi take all Red buffs, but if your ranged AD carry needs them it can be a big issue. Warmog's without a means of slowing makes Vi's lack of sticking power apparent.
That doesn't mean that Mallet is better than Warmog's, but I think the guaranteed slow on Mallet is undervalued (largely due to the popularity of champions like Xin Zhao who don't need it).

I agree that Elder Lizard can be the better choice, especially if the enemy team is ap heavy and you actually want the mercury not only for tenacity but also for a bit of early MR. Still building Elder Lizard means spending gold on a pickaxe. I rather use that to finish my cleaver if I'm building offensive items so not sure on when to get it.

W can be a one-point wonder, but maxing it gets you 10% max health damage on that third hit PLUS more when you get some AD in there (which you should). With the AS, you're doing that A LOT, especially if you're nigh invincible by building tanky. You can certainly go damage style (see XJ9, obv), but maxing W gives you good damage even if you don't BUILD much. You just want some more AS.
And yeah, as Gahlo said, Zephyr is super good on her too. Esp if you want something like gank boots instead of extra tenacity.

Anybody else has a problem with League with Windows 8 ? Sometimes when I play a couple of games like 3-4 the Summoning screen will just freeze at a certain % and then I'm unable to reconnect... It's really annoying since I already have a dozen freeloses in ranked and besides I might get banned (I'm actually surprised I'm not banned yet...)
HELP PLZ !

Alright, well I got temp banned for 3 days and I'm so ridiculously bored right now lol. Does anyone know how many times you can be temp banned before you get perma'd?
|
no idea but I assume the ban before perma should be 14 days.

There's no finite amount.

You can't get demoted from a league(except Challenger) but you can definitely be demoted from League I->II->III->IV->V, and you really can't know when it will happen(I'm sure you can get a general idea, like if you win a game at very low LP and still get very little LP from it, you're probably on the demotion block).

Does anyone know how many times you can be temp banned before you get perma'd? Is this your first account? Generally it's something like 6-7 times from what I've heard. It probably depends on other factors like how much time passes between bans, etc.
Riot can connect smurf accounts with their mains and smurfs of mains who have been perma'd have been banned after only 2 or 3 bans.
