LW is much much better than you'd think. A level 16 Ezreal with flat AD reds+quints and all AD/armorpen masteries needs 24 stacks on BT for Dblade+TF+BT to outdamage Dblade+TF+LW against 100 armor and 17 stacks against 80 armor. Meanwhile Dblade+TF+BT Mystic Shot will never outdamage Dblade+TF+LW Mystic Shot if Ezreal has lvl5 Mystic Shot, and the Trinity Force bonus damage benefits from LW but not BT, so I'd argue that TF->BT is actually quite poor compared to TF->LW. TF+IE certainly stacks up much better, but it also costs significantly more.

I personally like him as he is minus not being able to cancel his stealthing for an instant Q steroid. Waiting 3 seconds while under fire is a real pain in the butt. All this talk about more drastic changes has me rolling my eyes and seems like the typical Riot rework train (though I've loved the eve changes). I don't think it's necessary. The fact of the matter is there will always be a least played champion, and in many cases it has nothing to do with the champion being weak and everything to do with players simply not experimenting/breaking from "what works". From what I've seen of Twitch his early game isn't actually all that weak if you pair him with a CC-oriented support like Taric, Leona, Blitz, or Fiddle. Expunge has an extremely forgiving range, so even if you get hit with Exhaust or they blink away after a CC you can still hit them with it for more damage than a perfectly positioned Buckshot. I think it's the definition of foolishness to take a champion you know is balanced and change them simply because they don't fit the current meta. That sort of thinking shrinks possibilities and stagnates the game.

There are reasons for and against every way of specing a champion, when pros do something in a tourney or on stream, the reasons for his choice are repeated throughout the community and the reasons against are forgotten. Chaox rushes wriggles on ADs? Oh it's because wriggles gives dragon control, good laning stats and allows you to lasthit easier, nevermind the fact you won't do damage for 20min, nah no one cares about that. Chaox rushes tf + bt on corki and ezreal? It's because tf gives good utility and bt gives you sustain and damage, tf + lw lol? Never seen a pro do it must be bad. Genja does TF -> LW -> GA on Corki. RiotDeman maybe? I'd love that. Deman at every tournament! Demand has said many times he wants to cast full time but he can't because he has to work full time as a web developer to pay rent. Can't blame him. On September 07 2012 03:45 Seuss wrote: I don't think it's necessary. No one knows how to play him right, lane him right, trade with him right. I've already posted before about this.

edit: afaik, ezreal's w and q are independent of his attack animation, so it's basically about autoing while shooting your shit at them, with the added benefit that they are also good poking skills and an amazing line AOE AS debuff/buff. Citation needed tho, i'm not actually sure that's how it works, but that's how i try to play it.

Ez's is about AA resetting, making AS a little less useful. Corki's all about casting between AA, so AS a bit better fit. genja also runs 19/11/0 and tabis/mercs on his ezreal/corki so I dont think we should take him as an example because most people play ad carry 21/0/9 with zerkers genja OP

Riot taking him in would be great, especially seeing as the other Riot casters haven't been that great (Phreak and Riv III might be great for newcomers to the game, they don't have the quality for (semi-)finals). I can see Jaws improving a lot over time though, that guy does have potential.
