Inhouses have been really fun, but ELO balancing is hard at times T.T

Are there Talon players here (no thread for him atm)? I'm wondering if against mid-range champs I could just W them when they go for a last hit and use the slow to run up to them and Q them without wasting my gap closer. I've been considering completing ghostblade (after LW and/or BT) to use the active + R's MS boost as my gap closer, combo a squishy then E an enemy on the sides to get out during teamfights. I dunno how viable it is. I've had some success as long as I'm not camped and forced to blow my ult to escape, but the people I played against seemed really bad (a Morgana entering my range or getting every Q baited and dodged by my E), so I'm not sure if I'm working on it or just getting bad habit playing bad people.

I've been meaning to learn Talon as I feel playing an assassin could teach me a lot of things pertaining to escapes, angles of approach and general positioning, but getting camped is quite hard and often I have to rely on my E to get a combo, which has a high cooldown. Depending on jungler and who you are against, you want to start trading right away or at level 3-4, At level 4, if you won't get ganked, you pretty much want to harass them as much as possible. If they have no armor and 70% hp then your lvl 6 burst will kill them. I don't like ghost blade, in fact, usually I just stack BTs and get LW when they actually get armor, so normally bruta BT LW BT or bruta BT BT LW. Personally I buy boots 5 for better roaming but merc treads work as well. Always look to either kill your opponent at mid, and if you can't, shove the lane and go top/bot. It always feels like you are playing against bad people when you are talon, because if you're good, one mistake is enough for you to kill someone. These general timings you have to discover yourself by playing a lot you can ask me more questions in euw lp

A lot of times I'll play like Kayle or Riven and just have a really good early game (or have an easy matchup) and be able to freeze my wave right outside my tower and deny the opposing top lane super super hard. Now, when Im at a big advantage like this, what should I be doing? I see two possible solutions: 1) Keep freezing your wave and denying your opponent to make the game essentially a 5v4.5 or 2) Push your wave to take the tower and roam to help your team A lot of times I really wish I would just take my tower fast and help my team out because someone will do something dumb and it will cost our team when I know I could be out on the map, but then again, it seems like you're just allowing your opponent to catch up top lane (seems especially scary if you were versus someone like Nasus) How do you know when to take your tower, or just push waves and roam, and when to freeze your wave and farm up a storm while denying? Thanks.

This really depends on the situation, you'd have to ask me a specific one so that I could tell you.

Generally, you roam around when you feel that you can make something happen elsewhere on the map. Either working with a strong jungler to invade enemy camps, helping to gank another lane or grouping to take a tower or dragon. Deciding when you can actually do something comes from experience and understanding the game. For example, if the midlane matchup is Ahri vs Morgana, neither really has much kill potential on the other, even with ganks, so you are wasting your time trying. During that time, the enemy toplaner just got a wave and a half of creeps and has closed the gap between you two, so you wasted your time and let some of your advantage slip.

Some that I think are particularly strong: Blitz/Naut: Grab Lux: Double snare Panth/Taric/Sion: click stun I feel like spells that can isolate one person so that your team can quickly burst them down are most important as invades typically aren't full 5v5 fights but 4 trying to run from 5 (invaders). If you can catch them despite flashes, you can get those early kill/kills.
