It's terrible for people who have few to no referrals (right now a boost is worth 140-150 per standard win, so the change gives you less than half of that), but if you have a bunch of referrals and aren't likely to get many more, it's still a gain.
what are the other questions? i didn't get any survey. and yeah, don't like the proposed change, why would take something that gives me only 50% of the IP? i don't think that alot of people have more than 50 successful referals

you only need like 2-3 referrals already to get the same amount that we are getting now if it's 250 per successful past referral. it'd be nice for the extra ip i'd probably get but i'm against it as it's not fair to everyone

doublelift says a lot of things.
just listen to the guy talking to saint on stream, its no wonder all he can play is AD farm fest. not trying to be too rude but he seems really really stupid.

Sounds to me like he can clear damn fast, gank fairly well with his Knockback/ulti, counter jungle as well as stop aggressive counterjugnlign fairly easy with mines the same way Shaco does.
Although, I looked at Sejuani's kit and thought she would be the best thing since sliced bread too, so you never know I guess. Good lord Sej is painful to play unless you have a competent team.
Meddler said he's kinda like Karthus jungler for the clear timing.

Doublelift is pretty dumb, or at least hugely blinded by extreme bias for Caitlyn. Pretty much every argument comes down to him liking Cait more.

it was basically your level of interest in various award amounts, ranking them, what else you'd want, do you like the system, what's good/bad about it, etc.
that was really the only interesting thing about the survey
I might've gotten the survey cause I have like 15 referrals

oh ok thanks. i have more referals, so maybe it's just NA

is anyone else concerned by the lack of (atleast attempted) professionalism in the lol community? the amount of money being thrown around by riot is really boosting the scene but long term they need to attract outside sponsorship and family viewer bases. all i have seen on streams and sotl is slandering some big name teams, "i shit talk because its fun" and just generally lacking giving any shits about how they come across.
has anyone else seen a different side to things? just as my main example sotl this last week had day9 on, and in general the presenters couldnt praise the sc2 scene enough for people working hard to build what they love. theres also a lot of praise here for people like grubby, whitera etc who are long term faces who are constantly well behaved and attract huge fan bases, which is what sponsors want to see. then theres teams like liquid who i dont think say anything bad about anyone, because its bad for business.
but after day9 left the call, and in previous sotl's, they talk a lot of crap, on streams too they just do really "strange" things when they want to attract sponsors. clg is constantly complaining that they have to pay for trips out of their own pocket so its risky, and yet there seems to be no organisations taking a look at sponsoring a lol team.
obviously i dont know the numbers but i cant believe that none of the major mgo's arent looking in to lol, and its been about a year now since the crazy stream numbers came up, and yet no one has taken the plunge.

You're not alone thinking this. LoL pro player ar still a bunch a teenagers shiting around and without a proper team management for now. And you can feel that in how the fanbase react to things.

the only reason im concerned is that you look at the halo scene. obviously its not quite the same but its another game that had a large following in the US but nothing ever came of it. the shit talking and jock mentality lead to no teams being given a chance to play in anything outside MLG funded by a well known team. if lol cant bring in other people then eventually riot will surely stop footing the bill? i dont know, maybe they really do just sell so many teemo skins it doesnt matter.
|
If DotA made it, LoL can do it aswell. From what I know the DotA community has as many trolls and idiots as LoL does. And DotA became big. It just needs more time I guess. There will be really professional teams, MiG is the closest what I would call a pro team as of now.

I think a bigger problem for Halo is the rampant team switching that happends there. I dont follow the scene all that much but teams change pretty much every MLG. While american teams seem to lack sponsors a large part of the european teams have sponsors no? Fanatic, SK are all sponsored team. Ive seen snoopy mentioning something about his sponsor on his stream so it seems CLG.eu has something aswell. And while price pools would probably drop without riot support the fact streams are consistantly pulling in thousands upon thousands of viewers means a lot of sponsor income for tournaments to organise themselves.

i am pretty sure hotshot doesnt have a sponsor for clg because he wants to build up his own "empire". And it looks he is pretty successfull with it, especially with his clg streaming brand that he gives out to people and takes some % of the admoney.

its true that quite a few EU teams are on some big names. starcraft blew up with much lesser viewers than lol gets. thats the another reason im confused. based purely on what lol has got so far, from the outside it seems like lol should be all the rave at every major event, yet its sc getting the 4 streams for mlg and 1 stream for lol. so clearly the people in the know still dont rate lol as an esport.

Yeah I meant community opinion basically. Everybody is gonna stop playing lee cuz 'ZOMG Nerfs!!!' and we're gonna see jax every game. >.>

I don't get why somebody said "Jax is now a god against AP" just because he got some AoE damage reduction. When casting a 13s cd spell (if maxed fist), he'll reduce incoming AoE damage by an unknown amount/% for 2 seconds. How would that make Brand or Cass useless against him (amongst quoted champs)?
We don't even have the numbers, seems like a knee jerk reaction to me.

Well that's how most of the community thinks.
Tbh though there's nothing unique about jax that gets countered by AP. Its the same with any champion be it jax, riven etc.
Its just something from before the remake when he just shat on all ADs due to high dodge stats that you needed APs & disables to kill him.
There is nothing that makes jax more susceptible to APs more than other carries.
