I don't know, personally, I like them a LOT more than flat AP quints. Opinions? I don't have the IP for movement speed quints, but I've been meaning to get them for a while. They are basically the only quints that are really useful throughout the whole game. As far as dodging in the lane goes, I usually start boots+3pots anyway, so I don't really need the movement speed for that. More movement speed is always nice to have though (when have you ever thought, nah my lings are fast enough, I don't need to upgrade speed :D). Funny how you can buy 3 tier 1 movespeed quints for about 500IP and get 2.5% or spend 6k+ for 4.5%. Halloween MS quints were 1k for 1.39% though probably too late now >.< Even then, that's not the full bonus that the Tier 3 ones give. So I'd probably be replacing them sooner or later anyway, and it's just a wasted 3k IP. Also, the new masteries give 1% less movement speed for one more point and it is more accessible to everyone. Makes movement speed quints even better in my eyes. They had winter ones last year for ~75% off, and since they re released teh halloween ones this year I feel like these will be making a comeback too ;>

I have found new love for Pantheon. I used to hate playing him and regretting that I bought him.

i stopped playing pantheon when i realized that i could play a secret op version of him that can shoot spears(that crit) and mandrop without needing to drop there (without delay too + global range).
YARR HARR HARR

Only if he's ruthless. At best he's a supervisor otherwise

YARR HARR HARR but you can't flex your pexxxx, your argument is invalid.

Always kill, never die.

pantheon lol :<. Why play him over riven... Or sion this patch... Or gp... Or a number of other heroes. Just because he's manly? Everything about him is slightly worse than mediocre.
|
His Q harrass to 50% health into full comboed death is so fun.
And Man Dropping is hilarious. I just think he is a fun champion regardless of his less than mediocre standing.
So easy to faceroll in normals and against the right champs in ranked. Like versus Nasus top for instance.

This may come as a huge shock but some people play this game because they enjoy playing it, which means they play champions they enjoy playing instead of only playing the very best champions available.

i really miss the iteration of pantheon where his q was imbalanced and his e was worthless. That was pretty obnoxious.

TSM vs Dignitas, looks like TSM lost, aced near top Dig gets baron.
They were behind throughout getting double killed bot with Udyr sneaking in lane, then losing dragons by not being in position in time.

Each team had 4 bans and TSM didn't ban out Jatt's Udyr. Kinda surprising ..

Uh, Winter runes were 25% off. What you're trying to say is that winter runes cost 75% of the original rune.
As for Halloween runes, they were fine and hardly a waste of IP. At what point does that 0.3% movement speed loss make a difference? Saying it does just seems more OCD than anything else, even if you're a competitive player you'd be on the tournament server for games where that 3/1000th of your movement speed might actually matter. In S1 there were some 2k Elo players with just 2 rune pages. That's a far bigger inconvenience! But it turns out that even though I have more rune pages and probably more champions those guys are still better than me at this game because actual skill >>> optimized runes.

while that is true, optimized runes are <free>* and easily acquired, and (optimized runes + actual skill) >> optimized runes OR actual skill, so why not go for the best runes available?
*except for the time sink, obviously

So apparently Scout increases the vision range of your wards as well as your champ... how much is 5% anyway?
|
As if 1 MS is going to make a difference in a real game...

Meanwhile, two evenly skilled players will have who wins come down to small things like runes and masteries.
It's ignorant to say that having less than the maximum stats will never hurt you.

What's a standard Garen build? I usually go Ghostblade -> Merc Treads -> Warmog's -> Atma's -> Force of Nature (if there's an AP threat) -> Warmog's. That works pretty well for me, but do other people build more damage heavy?

vision wards have a range of 1000, so 5% is 50 additional range 1050 sight wards have a range of 1100 so 5% is an additional 55 range for 1155
so probably not gamebreaking but 55 range is nothing to scoff at. it allows you to see an incoming gank like a quarter of a second sooner i guess...
