Jokes aside, need some help here. I don't play normal games anymore because nobody takes them serious. I play like 2~3 normal games to understand a new champ but that's about it. I play only ranked and use it as a mean of getting better, cuz you know, 1v1 sc2 ladder mentality on how to get better.

Problem is I don't notice any improvements even though I always play the same champs. Sometimes I do really bad during laning phase with op chars. For instance, I had this game with irelia where I was focusing on farming early game vs gp, he ended up shitting on me and I pretty much got owned for the rest of the laning phase. It seems to happen quite often now too.

So my question is should I go back to playing normals to practice/master my champs or keep playing/practicing/mastering them in ranked?

Eh, I think he's kind of a caster version of Caitlyn. Incredibly strong in lane if played right, nigh ungankable, but falls off late game. You win with him by winning lane so hard that they can't come back from it. But like Yango said anyone with sustain or a shield kind of "counters" him in a certain regard. His high range and kit makes him really strong though, I'm not surprised he's ranked so highly.
