For each new champion, make a champion speculation thread where people can freely make unfounded assumptions about how the new champion. Not that this thread is ever terribly on topic, but these routine derailments every time a new champion is introduced at all always piss me off for some reason, lol. | ||

Ryze: definitely spells, you usually get tear of goddess and catalyst before anything else, and then have to charge that tear. Other than that... mostly. especially when the enemy is pushing you hard. Most APs have an aoe that will 1-hit caster minions early-ish, very helpful. Morgana is kind of an exception. She can afford to push because of her get-out-of-jail-free black shield preventing many normal ganks. Otherwise your not really supposed to be pushing the waves constantly; conserve mana and lasthit with autoattacks. Dont hesitate to pick up extras with spells if you would miss them otherwise. | ||

We don't know if his "huge range when sieged" is going to be +50 range or +500 range, we don't know if his "absurd ap ->armor passive" is going to be OP 50% conversion or crappy 5% conversion >.< Sometimes there's a lot of good and insightful discussions, sometimes there are awesomely funny threads and sometimes people complain about something before even knowing how strong is it going to be. There's not even a room for discussion when topic changes to such theorycrafting, just everyone expressing their feelings based on own assumptions, X pages of boring posts. Thread needs more drama! | ||

He's like Kog'Maw and Karthus had a baby. I'd build him Sapphire + 2 pots into Tears into Catalyst into Deathcap, then a Void Staff, Archangel, Archangel. Maybe build Mejai because he's really good at staying alive and killing people from far away, like Karthus. Summoner spells should be Teleport and Flash, I find the tele onto ward and then snipe from the bushes really good, like at bot lane if you just walk into their triangle, you get a huge arc to snipe them with while they attempt to survive the tower dive. Also his AP - Armor ratio is really OP because if you miss he can still tower dive like a boss. Like Cait I think they need to nerf his attack animation and the cast time on his siege shot, it's too easy to skillshot. Also his base movement speed nerfs a slight downtick. He's as fast as Morgana but he's supposed to be a siege tank, that makes no sense. | ||

I'm finding the standard setup to be lackluster, especially with his casting animations. Maybe something unconventional like a 9/9/12 would suit him best? | ||
