I don't really see Karma's level 6 as a huge burst in damage or anything though. Your e and q will be both at level 3, but her mantra gather time isn't reduced until level 7... The reason people love/hate orianna is because she can win basically any lane. Against heroes that you need to keep a distance from (malz, brand, etc) you can just harass them with Q+W and use your huge effective range to cs, and against heroes like irelia and kat and stuff that was already mentioned, you can just farm from long range, push the lane to the tower so they miss out on cs, and use EW to protect yourself.... Plus her late game is ridiculously strong, QRW wins entire teamfights if you get a good one.
She still just has a bigger, more reliable damage swing from her abilities than most other AP solos and it's way more sustainable than anything that relies on an ult.

Oh yeah, karma's 6 is still real strong, but there's no "insta-gib from 80% hp wtf lolol combo" that a lot of other ap solo's have. Read: brand, annie, orianna, leblanc.
This is why I hope they buff karma like they said, so we can stomp solo queue with her haha... I already play her a lot in arranged games, but not in solo queue since people won't give you a solo lane and instead make you play support.

Ya, Im with smash. Ive been playing around with karma on a smurf, and even w/o ap runes she is an absolute beast. If only they would fix the mantra-flash bug. Not playing her until they do.

Mantra-Flash-spell makes Flash consume the Mantra. So use Flash-Mantra-spell instead.

Mantra-Flash was reported to Riot. Fix might be in next patch since I reported it at the start of the patch cycle. But no guarantees.

Me and Turkey were rolling AP nasus like, a year ago; you guys are way late to the party being seduced by the new spirit fire. It's not even that he destroys other champs(he does) but he obliterates buildings. Q+Lichbane proc taking out half a towers health, 2 shot inhibs npnp.

It's an AoE so it dishes a reduced slow wich isn't really worth bothering with.

No seriously, she can win any lane cause of her ridiculous range and how she can kill a whole wave of creeps with EQ around level 6... Most abusive teamcomp with Karma is anything that includes singed. To start teamfight, leash singed for 550 movespeed with singed ulti. When he's in the middle of everyone, mantra shield him for 700 damage and the same in an aoe nuke... Profit.

her scaling's pretty good IMHO. she's like AP Sion except her shield is castable on friends and always does damage, but doesn't scale quite as well, but her other 2 nukes are AoE anyway, so she does way more AoE damage anyway, but she doesn't have a 1.5 second stun or crazy HP gains from farming and instead just has way more utility.
she still manages to suck somehow though.

Honestly for me she always seemed to be the champion with worse version of Sion's shield but i think this thinking might be the reason why i just don't try to look for her good sides (after all comparing 1 skill of 1 champion to 1 skill of the other champ isn't the best way to measure a cha,pion). I just dislike the fact that she has only 1 cc in form of weird slow and i always felt that mantra CD severly limited her teamfighting

The ratio on Q, E, and R are ridiculous, (like .7 or .8 on all of them). Her W ratio is garbage but you don't bother with that spell until you need to anyway.
She has great ratios on paper, but you have to realize that her Q and E cooldowns are actually way longer than most other AP carries with similar ratios (10+ seconds on both spells, compared to, say, Annie who has a 4 sec CD Q and 8 sec CD W), and that most AP carries with similar cooldowns (e.g. Morgana or Anivia) have 0.9 or better AP ratios on those spells.

TBH I think her scaling is fine. If I were to point out 2 things that bother me about Karma, they'd be:
1) Her base values--all 3 spells are scaled such that you need 6 ranks to get the 5th rank effect of another champ's spells (e.g. her shield's shield values at rank 6 match up to the rank 5 values of Sion or Janna's shields). This is fine lategame but somewhat bothersome midgame.
2) Her W. It feels so terrible compared to pretty much any other MS-modifying spell in the game. Ori's W, for example--better MS modifier and CD than even rank 6 of Karma's W at rank 1, less unwieldy AoE to use in teamfights.

IMO she would be borderline op if they just gave her 1 more mantra stack. No telling how many times Ive been in a battle, re, rq to save someone, then see someone low and just think SHIT.
That and her w should damage the person she leashes it too.

At Loci's very specific urging not to play Leblanc with ms% quints, I've played some Leblanc with ms% quints and it feels pretty damn strong as you can position better without having to waste W, so you can actually use the fucking spell offensively.
Being able to just walk up to people and EQWR is pretty trololo too.
