No idea where that pickup comes from tbh, but it's awesome to see them again in Starcraft. Though I still think the "new" T1-Logo is a travesty compared to the SKT logo ![]()

The pickings do get slim if you're rushing to sign a player 3 months before EWC, so if the funds are there, it could be a reasonable insurance play to lock someone in early. Depends what they are actually paying. I mean, is Heromarine really that essential to Mouz that they keep him on payroll? And he is there for so long I'm actually wondering if they even remember that they are paying him still. It could ofc be a sign that T1 and co. already know more (though in that case: Why not announce SC2 already? A lot of the games for '26 are already known). If I recall, T1 is also in the EWC Partner Program which expects teams to work on the growth on Esports, so maybe there are certain quotas they have to hit or whatever. Could also just be a very easy quotation: If T1 had herO on retainer this year, his 200 points alone would have improved them one place in the ranking, giving them around 100.000 Dollars more. And I think we can all agree that herO will in fact not earn 100K until next year
