That and her w should damage the person she leashes it too. It does. They were thinking about adding a silence to it, which would make her incredibly op. I hope they do so I can abuse the shit out of it in solo queue until it's fixed.

For some reason whenever I leash someone it didnt seem to be doing damage, only if it passed through them.

Both leash damage and silence were considered as potential additions.
An 800 range nuke that also slows would be stupidly strong for lane control, regardless of whether it silences or not.

Oh, I see... Whenever I play karma and leash someone I've always thought that it was just not enough damage to be visibly seen on a health bar, but you could see it on a creep health bar that it passes through....

If it were damage on the leash target, people would max it first IMO, because it outranges EVERY other non-ult non-skillshot nuke (and has a 100+ range advantage on most of them), making it INCREDIBLY hard to respond to. No need for anything else--you'd just W people out of lane without them ever being able to fire back at you.
Consider that 700-range nukes that have no CC like Zilean's bombs already give really strong lane control--and that Karma's W has 100 more range and also slows.

Yeah... I never had looked up the actual numbers for her W, and it does a significant amount of damage (240 at max, 80 at level 1), and only costs 65 mana. That would be op as fuck in lane considering its range.

Being able to just walk up to people and EQWR is pretty trololo too. Wouldn't it be eqrw? Unless you're randomly deciding to w in on them, then "w" again (using r) for no reason. Although most people i know w on top -> eqr w out. It's like "sup, bitch, where'd you hp go?? Oh right, it's gone like me. See ya later." Yeah I meant that thing you said. Just tired. D:

I don't always play ranked, but when I do I'm last pick every game.

Why don't people open 14 pots?
Top lane is all about sustain these days wich makes so few champions viable up there. But when you think about it, 14 pots really can't be that bad right? You get insane sustain, you can make horrible trade offs for damage and still push the other guy off the lane if you play agressive enough, wich you can because you got 14 pots worth of sustain.
What are you really giving up for it? 475g, is it really that much of a setback? Tons of people buy Dorans wich is basically the same, sacrificing that early gold for some early game power.
Sure you might have to play a little strange like being hyper agressive right off the bat, but if you open with 14 pots against something like a Doran you would be winning the lane by a landslide against most.
So any thoughts, 14 pots a valid opening or just the results of a sleep deprived brain?
You dont need that many pots to start you will go back before you run out. The biggest thing about doran's items is the flat HP and overall efficient gold use early game

@craton: i don't like being last pick because it means the opponents my teammates feed will be that much better. I don't like being mid pick because there's always talk of a support bot as i go ad carry and I end up laning with troll malz. I don't like being first pick because i feel irrationally obligated to pick one of the op champs that went unbanned. The best way is to just be like shikyo. lock in random and build gunblade every time

I don't like last pick because I always get bitch role'd, but at least I can be sure I'll have a balanced team.
Oh well, at least I won all 3 games I had to afk ward bushes in.

You forgot that after, you need to complain about how you always get stuck with feeders and trolls and *sigh elo hell*

Purple does have a very slight disadvantage, and the matchmaker auto-balances around this to make the game a 50/50 win chance. We offset based upon distortions to the win rate that seem to occur.
It's very small, less than 10 elo. So, you might see the teams go something like:
Purple: 1625,1500,1550,1550,1550 (slightly higher average) Blue: 1600, 1500, 1525, 1550, 1550
We treat the effect flat around that level. It's smaller at low elos, larger at highish elo, and highly variable at very high elo (as in, we can't seem to figure out what the effect is there). So, we just treat it as a very small disadvantage because that's what the overall data lines up to.
We aren't 100% sure which aspects of the map cause which problems, but build maps west-east now to avoid this. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?p=13293589#post13293589

realigning summoners rift would be a good opportunity to make it not suck
|
SR doesn't necessarily suck, it's just nothing new and has a few really irritating characteristics. One of them is the relatively closed architecture of the map - Uta showed in his thread about passivity that 4 wards can essentially lock the whole river down for ganks. The slight advantage for blue team is party based on the fact that for purple to gank blue's top lane is much more difficult than vice versa...
I'd like to see them play around with removing a few walls around the lanes and see how that goes.

Thought I'd take jax out for a spin to see what all the OPOPOP hype is about before the nerfs roll out. Went solo top, met a morg and kat and proceeded to feed them pretty hard (like 7 deaths before level 8...)
Then promptly won the game.
Now on the Jax OP bandwagon

For the longest time, I kept saying that I would play DotA 2 once it is released and stop playing LoL. DotA does indeed seem like it is the better game, but the reason I do not want to be part of DotA is because the community seems so unpleasant. Same reason I do not want anything to do with people who play Battlefield, Quake, Counter-Strike, Super Smash Bros Melee, Brood War (how did it come to this?!?!?!) and people who listen to rock and metal. What is their problem? For one, they overuse the word skill and do not use the word to determine how much ability and technique it requires to perform a task, but rather, they use the word skill to see if you agree with their interest. And two, those communities seem to act like they are under attack and it is their duty to save the superior game. btw, this is a pretty big generalization.
It may be hypocritical for me to say that DotA can be nasty given how cruel LoL players can be, but I guess it is related how people seem to view themselves for playing the game rather than how well someone views themselves for being good at the game.

Why "instead"? It's been 2 weeks since the release of skarner so he is supposed to be free this rotation...
