'cause you can poke most champs down without them being able to do anything. They can't run at you without eating your ball and you can keep yours placed aggressively by the creep line.

Against champs like Kass, you can keep use your shield to absorb their burst until later laning phase and win the exchange.

Champs with really long range abilities like Brand and Malz's Q (to lesser extent) can go at least even vs her.

AP Nasus is so fun, LOL. At end game I had 600 AP, my E would do 450 damage initial damage and my ult was doing 11% of someone's life every second. My Q in spirit fire (for armor reduction) was hitting for 1000 damage with lichbane, hahahaha.

Kog with 600 AP: R hits for 580 damage every second, W hits for 12% HP, more than once a second. 680 damage each from Q and E.

Dyrus just played Gunblade/Sheen hybrid Nasus?
Spirit fire hits like a truck now apparently....although I miss the delay in the cast, and that twirling his staff over his head animation.

Thats actually false. Her upfront burst is equal to most casters.

Her ult is .75 ratio with 500 max base, 7 on q (260 base), and 6 on e (240 base).

Annie on the other hand, is 245 base .7 ratio on q, 280 .75 on w, and 450 .7 on tibbers.

So she loses .1 ap ratio and has slightly higher base damages than annie.

Her cooldowns are longer than annies, but her cc is at least equal, and her spell distances are MUCH better than annies. Lux can sit back and pewpew while annie is stuck having to go ahead and march forward to her death. Combined with the fact that you are likely to get a second ult off in a longer teamfight, Lux actually compares really well.


annie has one of the lowest "pure" bursts - tibbers burn+auto is a huge component of annie's damage. the fact that tibber's aura scales with AP also makes her scale much better than advertised.

lux's "extra" burst comes from auto attack procs, so she definately isn't as strong as you make her out to be. her ap ratios are balls low, and the cooldowns on her regular spells are pretty bad as well. Her biggest advantage is her range, which allows her to build nothing but squish even if you don't have a reliable team.

What.

Lux is probably my favorite AP champion right now. Everyone thinks you're just a squishy support bitch, but if you build AP you can instagib anyone. Deathcap/void/morellos on lux = killing machine.

The ratio on Q, E, and R are ridiculous, (like .7 or .8 on all of them). Her W ratio is garbage but you don't bother with that spell until you need to anyway.

Skins go on sale approximately 3-5 months after release. Exceptions apply, but on the whole that rule is pretty consistent.

AP Nasus sounds a little odd, but I can understand why it might work since with Q you'd be doing lots of hybrid damage. His ult damage caps off at 240/sec which is 6.86% of 3500hp and 10% of 2400hp.

What's your build may I ask? I want to try this. ^^

she is good against enemies that naturally stay far back or fear you because you can abuse your range and leave the ball in front of you.
But against charging enemies like kat, irelia etc that are played properly, she isnt that dominant in lane.

But even those cant stop her farm, so she will kill everything later regardless, its just more annoying to lane vs a good kat for example.

wtf, people were talking about support teams 4 pages ago and they're all noobynoobs. Nidalee and Karma solos (Janna and Morg suck ass), Taric and Sona bot idealy, and then use a real jungler like WW or Jarman, then rush an Aegis, WotA, and Soul Shroud and voila, OP 15 minute push to nexus, every... single... game. shit's OP.

Yeah but it's like a bonus on top of all that other crap she does >.>

My point of view is that Lux has the "potential" damage mitigation of a soraka ult as a skill that is generally considered her worst skill and worthless.

Due to lux's high cooldown on all her spells, all of her spells have to be placed perfectly. That means to get good mileage of out Lux your snare HAS to hit 2 targets. Your E NEEDS to slow for as long as possible before popping it for damage. Your R has to be tossed out early in the fight, as soon as the veils have been popped so that you can get a second one in for cleanup afterwards. And of course during this whole time you need to present yourself as a POTENTIAL target so that you can actually exert presence over a teamfight if only to make yourself a dummy target (the enemy team need to be able to see you as a potential target, even if you have absolutely no intention of getting hit). Otherwise you are costing your team precious "bulk".

I don't really see Karma's level 6 as a huge burst in damage or anything though. Your e and q will be both at level 3, but her mantra gather time isn't reduced until level 7... The reason people love/hate orianna is because she can win basically any lane. Against heroes that you need to keep a distance from (malz, brand, etc) you can just harass them with Q+W and use your huge effective range to cs, and against heroes like irelia and kat and stuff that was already mentioned, you can just farm from long range, push the lane to the tower so they miss out on cs, and use EW to protect yourself....

Plus her late game is ridiculously strong, QRW wins entire teamfights if you get a good one.
