lol, E is the spitball that slows, and no, that is not a hard counter. if you were talking about his W, it's not good enough because the tanky deepsers have jumps. W is a hard counter to conventional tanks because they tend to not have instant-gap closers, so kog with mallet/red buff could kite them around and kill them really quickly, but when you're getting Jarman knockup'd or Audacious Charged or Infinite Duress'd Kog just gets raped.

Teemo is the ranged carry counter to tanky deeps. (not joking at all)

I find vlad very unrated, (since nerf) but as people say AP like malz does insane dps even to tanky champs.

Vlads lategame makes me wish there was a thornmail for magic damage

P.S: Nasus #1 counter to 5 melee tanky teams. He can basically 1v5 with ulti up.

I don't think you understand how fucking OP revolver is on Vlad. You literally can't touch a level 7 vlad with revolver in a 1v1 lane. It's the Vlad equivalent to wriggles, just even more so.

Of course, apart from his rock solid laning he has one of the best scaling endgames of all champs and a super strong midgame with his ultimate+mass aoe damage being great for teamfights, but can still 1v1 anyone.

Why is less popular now?

I guess the slow before his pool-->insta focus is still a viable way to deal with him. (Nasus whither so his pool basically doesn't move into Q's of death, draining 5% of hp/sec to give you 200 bonus AD, huehuehue)

Yeah, I've experienced the Hextech Revolver Vlad. He basically can't be harassed at all, but as long as you play safe and don't feed kills, the power falls off really quickly and he's fairly weak in the mid-game fight.

Unfortunately there are some champs that build anything and win (nasus comes to mind as well)

revive mastery + mobility boots + W would get you back into fights so fast O.o
Also, @hextech on Vlad, I think people underestimate how little getting a revolver sets you back, and how good the stats are for Vlad for the cost (and builds into Win of the Ancients later)

By the way, Revive: If you can coordinate your team so that you can trade 3+ kills in a teamfight and then do a mass revive and just roll the enemy base around 20-25 minutes, it should be really strong. Especially if you pick a team that can trade kills well and isn't terribly reliant on summoners (tanky DPS hurrdurr).

Also here's why I think the suicide Karthus thing "works": By dieing near the enemy tower, you basically allow your team to take the tower uncontested, because your enemies cannot fight in Karthus' mad AoE. Ideally Karthus would ult before he suicides to the tower.

Against a team of melee's that have bunch of initiation you want to pick a ranged that can easily itemize tank items w/o raping your damage. So I'd preferably want Urgot or Teemo.

Regi even said at the end "oh what they have 5 melee we shoulda gotten Anivia or Malz". Anivia is about as anti-melee as it gets and Malz can take any one of them out of the fight along with pokez.
