You know if he can stun or not no problem. You know TF can pull a card and stun you. It's common sense. You know if annie can stun you or not. You know if taric can stun you or not. So unfair for anivia players. Should totally not allow other people to be able to see that 5 min travel time. Like, I find TF's card choosing to be stupid and the qwe solution sounds pretty nice, but actually being able to see which card he chose is never a bad thing in my eyes. I'm not kidding. You can see how much mana TF has as well. All of your examples are completely unrelated, except sions where you make no sense.

really liking the tanky ap's right now swain is just so much fun,1 v 5 with blue buff ryze is probably one of the best casters in game right now in solo q,so much damage once u learn how to combo properly Q -> R -> W -> Q -> E -> Q and tanky as fuck too
|
So does ryze need *any* AP at all? Feels like he can go pure mana/tank items and still hit like several trucks. Very rude t.t

the difference is that Sion, Taric, Renekton, Blitzcrank, (everyone else in the game) can just USE their stuns, and they have little to no visual cue beforehand unless they activated their on-hit ability too early. Even Annie doesn't have to go through that cycle picking BS.
It's the combination of TF needing to cycle through his cards, along with everyone and their dog knowing he's doing it, that makes PAC really bad game design. Taking either drawback out would make it much better.

Not really, his AP ratios are quite trash now. I mean, if you pick up some AP via Archangel/buffs/bluepot it's not completly wasted but it's not very good either.

Only AP he will get is Void Staff and even that one is a questionable buy.

Jiji builds him RoA before banshee's, gives a lot of mana and will make him rly nice and tanky later on (u usually have nice mr and armor but not enough health).
|
on Ryze the op build is 3 Banshees and 2 Frozen Hearts. So insane.

What is with you and bad builds? Not getting at least 1 archangels there just makes no sense. You'd probably want like thornmail or something as well just to make sure you kill EVERYONE.
|
Nah just make everyone on your team get a thornmail. GG no RE.

He only does RoA before Banshee's in games where he's carrying super-hard and he can afford to skimp on the early survivability.
In close games, in games where he had an iffy early game, or in games where the other team has a fed caster, he doesn't hesitate to skip RoA and go straight BVeil.

Archangel you can use but its less surviv, just go 2 of both then

Btw on Tryndamere I'm about to have a revealation of an amazing build soon, I hope.

Archangel on ryze = bad, tear of the goddess on ryze = must (don't rush it though). 1350 mana is huge boost for Ryze

I don't view the waiting for a card thing as an intended drawback, I view it as bad interface design. Of course riot might consider it a little minigame...
that's one thing about being a game designer, you have access to feedback we can't get. it's entirely possible the audience the character is intended for actually really likes the pick a card mechanic, even if it makes us want to rip our own faces off
As far as balance, uh, I don't think pick a card is underpowered, lol.
