In BoE there are enough smokescreens and halls and walls in the center that she can be a real pain in the ass to chase, especially during team fights. | ||

Mainly because of the amount of locations where you can abuse holo for visibility over a wall / sightblocker and go for snipes in which it's basically impossible to get to you even if they'll realize where the shot came from. | ||

I was main Nova until I realized people are too dumb to adjust their playstyle to you so now I pick her only 20% of the time (that's still 500 HL games) and I feel 4 maps are great for Nova: 1. BlackHearts Bay (I have 67% win rate) Plenty of use for a roamer. If you can give your team vision on the other team's whereabouts you win the game. You give vision on the pirate which is very important too. Also easy to pick bad positionned heroes in fight (they fight 5v4 on pirate spot and you're below the smoke on the opponents's side trying to make some kills). 2. Dragon Shire (59% wr) This map is basically "roam all day until a team loses all 3 lanes at once". Roam all day, ping wherever you go and participate to kills. 3. Tomb of the Spider Queen (62% wr) Very small space between lanes so you roam, roam, roam and switch lanes very easily and quickly, and again try to get some kills. Since the past month I mostly picked Nova on these 3 maps and I have 80% winrate. My only issue is that if we kill too much people in lane people start feeling overconfident and play like retards. 4. Tower of Doom (37% wr) I suck at this map (and don't use Nova on it as I can't figure out what to do to really outplay the opponents), but the master stats are clear, it's a good Nova map. Garden of Terror is a decent Nova map too BTW. If a map requires too much sustained fights (Battlefield) or requires you to snipe in minion-crowded objectives (Temples, Shrines) you'll have a hard time. Needless to say from rank 50 to 10 you can pretty much pick her all the time if you know what you're doing, and as long as you only pick her 1st on Dragon/Spider since they cannot counter you until it's too late. | ||

Last game was a chronic disaster, from a terrible draft to literally everybody but me playing like shit. GP/Pyro Kaelthas who facechecked chokes, flanking Azmo, facecheck Rehgar and tank Arthas its just a fucking mess games around rank 13 were enjoyable even when i was losing, when you start getting ranks 18 and lower it feels like preschool edit: rank 16 achieved as the team of domestic inbreads decides to do a lv20 camp in face of our opponents and then they all sit in the fucking choke, with our solo support DPS tyrande (SM starfire nexus frenzy, dedicated kind of fucking moron) upfront. we had twice the kils and i had not died once that game. then we lost. fucking moorns i hope all fucking of them never touch the game again | ||

He goes and suicides like a moron. I spawn, go there but notice it's still 1v3 as Diablo suicided. So I get in the lane. Then, you all guessed it, Diablo starts flaming "OBJECTIVE! NOOB! DENY IT!" and things like that. So I try to explain to him that it'd be useless but no he was in idiot mode and starts being more and more toxic. So I block him, and his friend Tyrande who of course supported him, and I tell them they're muted so they don't waste time typing. But then I decide to go troll mode, teasing them all game with "GG" everytime we get an objective, saying "it's lost now" everytime we win a fight... I couldn't get their reply so it was very fun. Sometimes I would see them iddle, probably typing. :-) The game was an easy win. Of course both weren't HL players at all, just idiots with a very small understanding of the game. | ||

Countering toxicity with more toxicity is not really going to improve the overall gameplay experience for anyone - as much as I completely and utterly understand the allure in doing so! I think QM is pretty much the same as always though - although the range in MMR seemed to increase a bit following the S5 release of Diablo 3 leading to some more lopsided games. On a sidenote: I thought that when you "mute" a player it actually blocks all communication with them - i.e. they can't see what you write? | ||

I would have just said "sry cant do 1v3, need exp plz soak lanes" or something else short and sweet. I rarely get persistent backtalk if I say something like that, and if I do then I just ignore the hate and play my game. Adding fuel to the fire with counter-trolling only makes things worse imo. | ||

I know it doesn't help the game but it helps feel better about idiots. Probably the good reaction is to not even talk and mute immediately (CarlTheLlama would tell us to not try to coach teammates in solo queue). So, I guess I have to give up my new game "Guys, everyone drinks each time Diablo suicides." ? It was funny typing "aaaand everyone drinks" each time he died. I'll try to just mute people in QM, or disable ally chat from start. Because trolling 2 idiots is great, but 2 other guys had to play with 3 assholes and that's not fair to them. edit: or we all do the "Everyone drinks each time X suicides" game ? It will make QM a better please for our children. Maybe. | ||

98-99% its negativity that doesnt contribute anything. I still dont understand why ppl can spam ping either, thats so annoying. Lately i have been to involved with what ppl write or do so i have played much worse. Down a rank. I play much better if i just ignore what ppl say 100%. Maybe i block but thats it. | ||
