The CC of Johanna is real o.0 She is such a nuisance and seems to be one of the strongest warriors out there (especially because people don't understand her abilities yet).

Johanna seems strong but I'm not convinced if she can work in a 1 warrior setup. Or at least you need someone there to initiate for you. She has strong anti-disengage but she has very little in the way of engage outside of falling sword. I think she's fun and has a place and possibly with an organized team with her instead of QM she may prove problematic but she doesn't feel nearly as stupidly OP as either KT or Sylv when they were released.

I've played a couple of games against a Johanna. What became very obvious very quickly is that she poses zero threat by herself and is entirely dependent upon her team to follow up and do damage. If you're mindful of your positioning around her (which is very easy if you have a dash) she is little more than a fat cow to avoid and to ignore. I'm not going to buy her because it is quite clear that she is not someone who is going to carry teams by herself. I'm sure that she'll be excellent in highly organized play due to her plethora of CC, but she's basically unfit for solo queue play.

Played 3 HL games with her on my team (5stack) and while yes she don't do much by herself, she's very good when the team follows. Of course she's new and other team didnt know how to properly play against her, so there's that to keep in mind.

I have tried all the old mobas, LoL, Dota, HoN etc. None of them for more than a few games. Hots? Hundreds of games.

Actually i think it's the most enjoyable solo game out of all mobas i played, it's just also the best with a casual group of friends as well, cause different skill levels aren't as bad in Hots as they are in - for example - Dota.

Yeah at least on Heroes if the player is a newbie you can just lane with them and tell them to just follow you around at all times no exception. In DOTA individual players need to be doing certain things.

What's funny is Browder actually said they've identified bugs in the match making that they're trying to fix... so I guess it really is messed up.

Also he warned that it's going to be rough integrating all the new players with no history match-making wise, but hopefully will smooth out soon.

I like how there is actually some value to taking down Johannas shields, as it cancels her unstoppable. (If its true didn't test it myself) She basically announces if she tries to engage, I guess thats why people aren't screaming OP this time around. Despite her canceling out most escapes and the ability to chase past a fort without losing speed.

I like her design though, she isn't there for initiating she is there to run into an ambush and pull all 5 enemies together to be obliterated. Gazlow must be pretty pissed though that his ult was stolen

-the game will be continually improved and we/blizz has just begun
- making old replays work and groups/clans.
- the HotS team is growing
-changes to right-click
-a good UI mechanic providing a sensible explanation about why you died.

They brought up an interesting point on Town Hall last night that this game as so much anti-ADC but hardly anything to counter ability based carries like KT. Like there is imposing presence and so much attack speed reduced abilities but nothing that like increases the cooldown on your spells if you attack a certain person or an ability to slow your cooldowns.

Do you guys think the game would benefit from more ability to counter spell-based heroes?

There is Spell Shield, Ice Block and a few other talents that are currently ignored (like Brightwing's Anti-Magic Powder).

I can't judge if that's enough at my noobish level, 'cause people still refuse to pick Spell Shield vs Nova even after 10+ deaths. Talents like Imposing Presence seems comparatively much stronger though.

Spell shield is a must against Nova or KT late game. The extra damage you get by taking another ability is meaningless if you die before even dealing any damage.

Illidan's first real talent choice is lvl 13 - Giant Killer or 6th Sense which is a turbo-boosted / manual spell shield. So at least one hero considers anti-spell talents (when played correctly that is).

I'm shocked that people still haven't caught on to using Give 'em the Axe on Muradin. It's soooooo good. Screw Stoneform. Yeah, in highly organized play, I can see Muradins preferring it still. But for us solo-queuers, Give 'em the Axe turns Muradin into a beast that can carry shitty teams on his back.
