This might sound like a dumb question but how someone is supposed to carry in HotS? I seriously fail to understand how a single person could make a shitty team win. I mean, I can understand that picking certain talents will make you more useful with a shitty team but carrying a whole team so that you end up winning?

You carry by creating advantages for your team that reduce the probability of one or all of your teammates doing something stupid that costs them the game. There are a few ways to do this, but the most straightforward is to simply kill enemy team members. In order to do this, you must have a hero that actually poses a threat. Muradin, when specced properly, can pose such a threat. Combine your instrument of destruction with some heightened game sense and map awareness, and you'll be able to find and exploit opportunities to kill enemy team members, thereby carrying your team to victory (even if they don't really understand what you did).

they discuss -its tough to hype a game that is in open beta -the game will be continually improved and we/blizz has just begun - making old replays work and groups/clans. - the HotS team is growing -changes to right-click -a good UI mechanic providing a sensible explanation about why you died. -improving the kick mechanic for AFK/useless players

Awesome interview, especially from Sigaty. Makes me optimistic for the future, with hopes of clans/ teams, and them constantly keeping a pulse on what the community wants
This is what the launch party should have been! HYPE!!!
I wonder if they planned that ahead of time or just came up with it because of the negative way the launch party was received.
I don' think you can put something like this together in under a week. My guess is that London was too far for them to properly coordinate, or they just don't have the contacts in the European scene that they do in the NA scene (the proximity issue again).

and the interview should put an end to the "discussion" on page 419 and 420 about the SC2 and the HotS being the same team. totally different processes require different teams.

I think the fact that 2 weeks have passed since then more effectively put an end to that discussion than anything else.

i like to pay attention to outcomes and this requires time... how are those toronto raptors doin' Blizzard's biggest strength is their feedback loop with customers and this also requires paying attention to outcomes and the passage of time to see if what they did worked.

I had to google what sport that was and I don't understand how that's related at all.
the hiring announcement in the interview also brings up something else: Blizzard is great at hiring their competition's best people. With top management guys announcement they are hiring for HotS it'll be interesting to see if any of Riot's best guys end up on the HotS team.
having top management guys say "we're hiring" is a lot more emphatic than some anonymous generic posting on a job board.
Sometimes I have up to a second lag in teamfights, when the game just derps out so I don't even think about playing illidan where I have to constantly move or brightwing where I have to press countless buttons on time.

I would say don't play random team games were everyone is important. But I would say Zagara might be something as long as you do well with your creep spread. On the other hand the creep might cause lag ? I guess in general heroes without burst and a bit of survivability would work.
Zagara/Hammer, Lili (you can hold down q and e probably with lag even), Mura, Autoattack Raynor ? Azmodan would also be an idea, since in the best case you are allowed to farm all game for stacks.
the best char would prob. be Li Li b/c all you have to do is hold Q (and E) and move. I think healers are generally better b/c you should stay out of the fight and your targets don't run away from you. as Assassin Jaina with W and E and her watere ele autoattacks. you should stay away from warriors b/c there not only the skill matter but also the positioning (body block) is highly important. for specialists you could go murky (with proper egg placement) and abathur. maybe even azmodan, but he sucks.
E: and ofc: please save some money and buy a good PC. don't be that guy that lags out at the worst possible moments and ruins the game for your team.

I assume you already checked but just in case: Have you made sure your graphics settings are turned down? I had issues until I bothered to check and saw the defaults were insane (I built a decent PC when D3 came out). Also the game has a habit of reverting to the default so even if you changed it previously you may want to check again.

Something like this happens on my old desktop with only 2gb of ram. Everytime someone uses a new ability (early teamfights, ults, etc.), it freezes for a while. Turning down all graphics and making sure nothing else runs in the background helped, then closing the microsoft debugger that randomly spawns every now and then helps a lot too.

What would be your other talent choices to go with Give 'em the Axe?
I guess I would pick lvl 4/TB and lvl 13/TS, but I'm not sure for level 1 and 7
I prefer Crowd Control to Thunderburn. CC gives Muradin an effective wave clear. It also provides a more reliable "second" proc to Thunderburn because I don't trust good players to stay in Thunderburn's AoE. If you're in the middle of a pack of heroes where the battle is more likely to be stationary, CC will give you another Thunderclap pretty damned fast anyway.
