Also, thanks khaldor. Yeah his response made me /facepalm since the biggest thing is getting 10 heroes for hero league which would always include your starting account and hero leveling gold bonuses.

What i pointed you out are builds and basically the meta (you can also check team compositions), and you can also check what people use with each character. And i was just poking fun out of your first comment, not backseat moderation... chill. About watching tournaments, because it would help you more to understand why push and when get mercs/objectives than any written guide i had read, hopefully for you, somebody else may have something in that regard.

-Try to play the different heroes when they are on the free rotation, or to play them on the try mode. Even if you don't like them, you'll be able to get a rough idea of what they do and what their strenghts/weakness are. -In general, don't leave lanes before level 10 or you could lose a bunch of exp, and that is important because at 10 you get your heroic, and if the enemy team gets their's first, your team will be at a big dissadvantage. -As another, general rule, objectives are more important than lanning. Sometimes there are exceptions. -Becuase of what i said above, in general you will want to be split among all the lanes at the start of the game, only getting togheter if there is an important objective. -Before lvl 10, you get very little exp from killing a hero, and the death timers are small, so being alone isn't a big of a deal. However after lvl 10 death timers increase, and so does exp rewarded, and being death means your team will not be able to contest certain objectives or do other stuff, and so, as another general rule, you will want to be closer to one another after you get to lvl 10. -Don't overextend, if you can't inmediately kill a hero and you need to chse him half the map to kill him, it is generally a bad idea to do it. I repeat the "general" rule thing because there are exceptions, for example, maybe it ok to chase an enemy if you are 100% sure the other enemies aren't close/are death and there is not a map objective or something better you could be doing. -Merc camps. This is map dependant, but you will want to take them when you can either force the enemy to make difficult choices, like "do we go for the tribute or do we defend the merc push?", when you can make a big push with them, maybe you got catapults and will pressure top lane so those bruiser camps could come handy. Or when you are going to lets say, push bottom lane as 5 while the merc camps push top lane. This are just examples, hope they can give you a rough idea. So, well, i think that covers the basics for a quick guide, these doesn't seem like much but they can add up pretty fast and represent a big advantage, or dissadvantage depending on how you play. If you need anything more specific feel free to ask, and stay around here because some guides are comming real soon.

"the time to unlock a hero is too long" responded by I unlocked almost 2 heroes a week for my first 6 weeks...yeah I derailed... I might pull a muscle from face palming so hard 17k from lvl 5. (of course, once you get to play them all, that will take some time tho). 6k from account lvl 23k. You tell me, if that will make any different from one year now. It's a sweet boost to get you hooked with some heroes at the beginning, and i actually like it, i am excluding it from any calculation because, well, it's irrelevant, if i want to make an approximation of how long it will take for me to get all the heroes (around 230k gold) i just need to substract that number from the total cost, hence why it's irrelevant to any estimation on gold/week/month, whatever. And before you say, but new heroes will get released. Yes, they will be released, one per month, for 500 gold, which is something you basically get from one daily quest, and when you actually get to play him of course, because it won't be free on a few rotations (thrall hasn't been free yet, for example). Woopeedidoo. Once that is gone, what's left are daily quest, and in game rewards, and i do think their rewards does not match well the cost of the heroes, which was what the conversation you decided to jump on was about, hence why i answered you in the fashion i did. Because getting 11 heroes through daily quests and in game rewards in 6 weeks withouth stimpacks takes some hell. If you only do dailies, average income per game is 25, from the dailies alone, being optimistic you would gather around 18k, and if you played 161 games (is this https://www.hotslogs.com/Player/Profile?PlayerID=878289you?), that would mean .... the amazing figure of 4025 gold, so 22k in total on regular earnings, in 6 weeks. Maybe you also played a bunch of coops for 10 gold per each, which would only need 200 games per 2k hero, there is a cap, etc... Or you have stimpack, which actually how i feel the game rewards should be, making everything moot.

I think what's really getting to people is owning heroes that they end up not playing much, then falling in love with a new one while it's on free rotation and not being able to generate enough gold to buy it in a reasonable amount of time. If people would be a little more prudent with their gold, it wouldn't be so bad. If the first fives heroes you buy are heroes that you don't mind picking at any time, then you can save up gold and not buy another until you really know that you'll get a lot out of the new one. I do feel bad for anyone whose schedule doesn't fit the demands of daily quests. It's nice that you can save up three, but people who play a ton of games but only on the weekends, for example, have got to be annoyed with the inefficiency.

1) Will there be banning in ranked? Right now people always seem to play the same heroes in almost every match, there's little variety and basically only a question of "who gets Stitches/Tychus/Tassadar first?" and then everyone else tries to pick the next best thing. 2) Will there be true soloQ? Currently it's like this: I play true soloQ(queuing alone), I lose MMR. I play with friends, I gain MMR. If I play solo, matches are either close and then someone fucks up at an important stage and it's all over within a second, or just generally onesided stomps all game long. And if I play with friends, there's not even a challenge. I'm not sure I ever played against other 5s. 3) Whats the plan on map rotation? If those can't be answered, it's alright but especially 1) and 2) are important imho.

2) Don't think so. There will be team league but hero league will still keep duo's from what i've heard. I have the same exact thing with MMR and it's silly. Then again, you are referring to the MMR of HeroGG / hotslogs who don't correct for preteaming at all. It's one reason I think these sites are of relatively little value, blizzard themselves should and probably is correcting for preteaming which let's them have a different MMR. I don't think this information is available in replays alone though so community rating sites will remain somewhat useless. 3) No idea yet, I heard they want ~7 maps available at a time so I suppose some will rotate out eventually if new are made. I'd be guessing haunted mines is the first on the chopping block as the steppes of war of this game.

As for hero league, I doubt it, 2) Matchmaking is still being improved, no defenite answer. 3) No idea.
