What do people think of the idea of having an optional league where only players with all heroes unlocked are ranked and where players can get in by paying, say, $30 to unlock all heroes for a season?
I feel like the founders pack is a giant ripoff, In SMITE you can buy a god pack for the same price and you get every god that is out now and will ever be released. While with this founders pack you get 3 heroes and 3 random skins, OH YEAH and BETA acces but honestly that isn't worth 40 bucks.

I think I had 11 heros in 6 weeks. Don't forget there are account gold bonuses too.
The account gold bonuses are one time only. For example, there are 34 heroes right now. That's 17k gold, when you get to see all the heroes.
I counted my gold gain in one month of playing since i started. I gained exactly 26k barring the account gold bonuses (because they are pointless if i want to calculate an average income per month), have stimpack, and i had played quite a bit (388 games, yep, 2/3 coop games to lvl up heroes).
You can't get 11 heroes in 6 weeks with that. There are not enough 2k heroes for you to buy

Once in a while, sure, i already bought arthas and kerrigan that way. But you are mistaken, it's not that you require to invest time, is that you need time to unlock them because of daily quests.

Did another Quick Tip video on heroes of the Storm yesterday. Video shows how you can customize the hotkeys to selfcast spells. It's unfortunately not possible to do that in the hotkey settings in game, so I recorded a tutorial showing how to pull that off:

You say you don't count the initial gold because you can't get a accutare monthly average, which is true, however when you came to your conslution of "you can't afford 11 heroes in 6 weeks" you shouldn't ignore that maybe he got the 11 heroes with the initial gold rewards.

I'm like 90% sure that this used to be the case. We tested it by queuing as 4 with no specialist, and our 5th guy was a specialist 3 times in a row. I also remember in general there being at least one of every role in more games. This wouldn't always be the case if a party queued up with 4 assassins, for example, because then it'd be impossible. But yeah, I hope in the next major patch they make some changes to matchmaking. Ridiculous team comps is one issue.
Personally I seem to get just over a 6 minute queue every time I solo queue. It's like it tries for 6 minutes to find me a good match, and then just gives up and says fuck it, here are some random people to play with. I'd rather it try for only about 2 minutes before giving up and giving me the next best thing.
Compositions seems to have gotten weirder last few days, I've seen three warrior, no warrior and Abathur+Murky. It might be a good idea to try auto select hero. The five times I've done it I have gotten balanced compositions and won all five games.

I get the 6minute treatment too and it is very harsh. Basically I don't get a single meaningful game by solo-queuing anymore.... I wait 6minutes then get matched with people who have no clue what the hell they're doing (but think they know better) and we get destroyed in 20minutes because the matchmaking tries to "even things out" but I'm pretty sure 5 decent players will always beat 1 good +4 baddies. Looks like I will have to find a team or just wait till there are more people treating hero league games like real competition.

Yeah, this has been my experience, too. I keep playing because I'm a glutton for punishment, and I keep hoping that I am just unlucky with the matchmaker. But I have been through a large enough sample size to know otherwise.
