A lot of the pros in the NA Heroes scene don't strike me as real pros. They get to be called pros because they're the best players and because major teams are picking them up... But their habits and attitudes don't resemble those of the pros in other games and scenes.
The real tragedy here is that Blizzard reads and posts on reddit. I mean I guess good ideas can pop up anywhere but you really gotta question how much shit a person can wade through without allowing any of it to brush off.

In fairness, I'm not sure that the battle.net forums are any better than Reddit. I get the sense that Blizzard kinda does its own thing anyway.

The hunt to stop the Vikings from being everywhere ! So fun before 20 when a single Viking can beat up an opponent if you have been laning properly. But they are tough to play x.x

I love hammer but I greatly dislike playing against hammer. I've been going full on auto attack and range build with her and it is absolutely disgusting. Hitting for like 600 from 5x the opponent's attack range with full graduating range up.

You hit FAST too at 20. I told my friend, I'm not 100% sure Hammer isn't OP. I hope she's not, truly, but holy shit she feels powerful.

At level 20 with all of the range talent upgrades, she is absolutely OP. She mows down everything. All you need is a couple supports to keep her healed.

Hammer was very good last patch too. She's my go to dps when valla is already picked (aka : all the time). I think illidan is going to be firstpick/ban this patch, almost everyone was nerfed and he was already a good pick in competitive.

Who are the pros on Town Hall Heroes anyways? Isn't it just a bunch of casters + Shamtoo (what would you classify him as anyways?) I mean sure Zoia likes to repeat what other 'pros' have told him, but I suspect he doesn't fully represent their views, especially when challenged he tends to just double down rather than explain any reasoning.
BTW, Idra playing Lost Vikings on Erho's stream if you want to see how it does in an RTS player's hands lol.

Lz generally plays vikings in EGs matches. ZP said Idra doesn't care for them. I suppose sc2 Terran probably is more like Vikings than sc2 Zerg.

Let's talk Abathur for a moment. I tend to think that he's going to be rediscovered sooner rather than later. First off, evolve monstrosity is just hot garbage and should be avoided. Ultimate evolution is still the better ult. Even without the ability to use ults on your clone, it still is good. Just grab a DPS hero and go to town. If you die, you're still in the fight because you can put a hat on someone (2 hats if you go for hivemind). And he still is a monster of a split pusher. I think that the siege roaches are probably better than the exploding ones now. Thoughts?

I haven't figured out what's the best way to play them (all split up? 2/1 splits?), but given the fact that I almost exclusively win right now, I can't do TOO poorly, I guess. xD
Having all the Vikings split up to cover all lanes is really annoying if there's a Nova/Zeratul on the other side. I'm really falling apart in these scenarios and my poor vikings just die left and right.

This is a solid site where you can get info about all of the heroes and there are quite a lot of guides. I read it on daily basis, it is pretty fun.

I was having an absolute blast playing regen chen with an Abathur earlier. Abathur and Chen complement each other so well. Chen can soak the damage, abathur can get the siege roaches. Abathur, with proper timing, can shield chen if he gets stunned or between fortifying brews. Further, even though Chen can sneak in cooldowns between drinks, Abathur makes standing around Chen even more of a liability.
Better than other combos? I dunno. But regen Chen with Abathur is really, really fun.

I hope that there just isn't the population playing...Hero league games with players spread over 22 levels are not fun for anybody.

Blizzard is a huge company, probably just a random dude that spread it via email or something.
Regardless, i'd say reddit heroes subforum is probably better than the bnet forums as far as content and feedback.
Not sure if you were pointing to reddit as a whole or just the subforum. The way I see it is like this analogy, "All black people are bad." which obviously isn't true. So anyone who says "reddit is trash" is just ignorant to the parts of reddit that aren't trash. And if you have an account you can customize your front page to whatever subs you subscribe to, and make multi-reddit tabs based on grouping specific related topics. Such as the various art subreddits, movie reddits, etc.
There are some decent subforums on reddit. The mainstream ones are trash, and even within those there are some good posts/posters. Just like anything. I mean TL in it's current state is about the same as reddit. Arguably worse.
The starcarft subreddit is probably one of the worst as far as bandwagons and bullshit go. Right up there with askwomen, hiphopheads, relationships, redpill etc.
