Diablo has a shitton of HP, but I'm not sure that I'd classify him as "hard to kill." He doesn't have any escapes, self heals, or shields. He just eats damage. I think Arthas is a good comparator for Diablo. He has a similar anti-carry/tank role, but Arthas does it so much better with his rock solid kit.

I don't get the similarity at all. Arthras has a lot of sustain, a lot of self healing, talented survivability boosts, good damage, AoE snare, AoE root, and can lane clear and merc clear well enough.

He's actually a good warrior.

Diablo isn't.

That's the point. Both Diablo and Arthas seem to be designed to fill similar roles, but only Arthas is any good at it.

The similarities are about as relevant as saying Diablo is like Anub'arak, Tyrael, Chen, and Stitches (the other higher tier warriors). In other words, the similarities are not there outside of the warrior label and shallow stereotypes.

I don't see where Diablo is similar in design beyond he has a high HP pool.

I'm guessing it's something along the lines of Blizzard not wanting to overwhelm casuals with too much choise at start. But who knows really, in any case talent gate is a awful choise in competitive game whatever their reasoning is.

It's especially ridiculous though with heroes that do not function with lvl 1 talents like Tassadar, forced myself to co-op.

It's good for beginners/casuals (blizzard probably feels they would be "lost" with so many talents available the first time they play) but annoying for people that can quickly understand what are the best talents. Thankfully it's annoying only once or twice per hero, you quickly get rid of it.

Not that I know of, but the gated talents are all unlocked when you get to lvl 4 on that hero, which means something like 5 games at the moment (a bit more if you play coop). That's perhaps 1,5 hour of play. Annoying, but not that much of a grind.
(getting to lvl10 to unlock all skins takes long, but you'll end up there easily enough on heroes you like to play)

Currently a lot of mid/endgame is decided in 5v5 fights in a small area, which is a boon to spirit and makes it a lot better than the garg, but that could change.

It's not just that, Garg to me doesn't really have any team synergy. Spirit has great synergy with stuff like Divine Storm, Rain of Vengeance, Void Prison, Arthras snares / roots, Anub'arak stuns, and is a better clone target for Abathur. In a game that is really about team skirmishes at times, composition is everything.

As someone who plays a bunch of Abathur I'd like to see Promote removed from his kit. Right now his passive lane pushing is just way, way too strong.

It takes 3 online games, also the MMR for heroes is different, so for example my Illidan is level 9 and the players I go against would be Hero league on hotslogs (I am diamond) whereas I hit low diamond when I start a level 1 hero. It shouldn't be too bad and it does allow you to get used to them without playing against people on main heroes.

Tenks, Abathur needs more rework than losing promote, I was thinking about suggesting that he gathers exp at a lesser rate like 3/4 or something, because his major strength is similar to brightwing and hunt Illidan in the sense that you can stay in lane and still join the fights allowing for just that extra exp advantage.
If you have a Nova or a Zeratul (Zeratul being the best) then you just need to find Abathur and he dies, I think he will get slightly less strong when you are allowed to draft.
I will make Yogg Saron priest work...

Can't Abathur hide behind his towers though, so you can't even attack him unless he screws up?

Does he always get exp from the closest lane because his auto-generated minions will count as him being there even if the lane is technically empty?
I'm still having trouble understanding what it means when a little black icon pops up on top of a minion (I know when it's a hero it's because he's shielding him, but if I kill the minion shouldn't Abathur appear nearby unless he has huge range on joining someone and returns where he casted from?).

I don't think Abathur's ult is the problem. His ability to directly and instantly influence fights around the map with symbiote is the bigger problem. It's really, really strong and can be outright devastating when used on heroes that can stick to their targets (I particularly love getting symbiote on Zeratul).

The only ways Abathur can gain XP is if he either symbiotes onto a nearby unit ("the little black icon" -- which is a global range spell) or if his body is physically near the creep dying. His locusts, despite many people's assumptions, do not gain him XP. His toxic nests also do not give him XP. Most good Abathur players will find a mostly empty lane and just hide in the bushes to gain the proximity XP while also having their symbiote on a different lane to get that XP. When a team fight is breaking out and he is needed he just ults and now he's instantly in the team fight.

Blizzard offers 64Bit Client for HotS but I am confused about its desciption: "If you have more than 4GB RAM, then you can use 64Bit Client".
I thought 64 Bit means such as Win7 64Bit. I have Win7 64Bit but 4GB Ram. Can I use 64Bit Client?

Hiding behind towers won't even save you past a certain point. Zeratul can easily burst you down since Abathur has a pathetic health pool. However, with the proper network of nests and the ability to globally tunnel the map you can avoid getting caught with some effort.

The range is global so you won't see Abathur appear. The key to finding him is to look for the locusts he summons. You can gauge the position of Abathur since the locusts have a timed life.
