Getting the same card twice in the same pack can be quite annoying at times. I think the whole, you being allowed X amount, how many cards you are actually allowed to use, and how many you have gets convoluted at times. | ||

I wonder if anyone has encountered this or tested it. Because cone of cold is a targeted spell (explosive shot is this way too) that affects neighboring minions (as with betrayal) so I wonder how this works. Have rarely used spellbender so haven't had those situation come up. According to the card's text it seems like a 1/3 creature should be summoned on the left or right edge of your board (this is what happens with the 2/1 paladin secret sacrifice) and absorb the spell plus it hits just the one neighboring minion which is pretty effective for mage. I wonder what happens if your board is full and you have spellbender, guess it just doesn't activate. | ||

Blue quote So yes it will hit your other minions You're right about AoE, but Cone of Cold actually is a targeted spell, so it shifts to the right (where Spellbender appears) and hits only the right-most creature with its AoE in addition to the Spellbender. | ||
