I used a maphack in Diablo 2 and a dupe hack for Diablo 2...I was 8 and kept being told that it was "normal" to do so until I got yelled at in-game by someone who told me it was illegal and I didn't want to go to jail.... My older brother has always really been into hacks, which is why I had those hacks in the first place... I would never go out of my way to hack, I also really hate cheaters/hackers/botters now.

You might actually be clinically insane if you legitimately enjoyed fishing in WoW. WoW is pretty boring but finding enjoyment in fishing is incredible. Incredible as in I don't believe you.

In MW2 my friends knew how to do custom matches that gave you exp and i played that a ton. i dont know if its a hack or more of a glitch because there was no outside program used just kind of glitched the system out maybe? i never knew how to make it happen they just invited me lol.

I got in a HUGE fight with my dad/stepmom/stepbro because they wanted to buy us modded controlers. I wasn't trying to be ungrateful, but I dont want them to waste money on something that will get me banned on XboX live. The person selling the modded controlers conviced my stepmother that there was no way you could get banned from this shit. Luckily, I conviced my sane dad to not buy them.

I'll go from the most inoffensive to most disgusting and despicable...

1- I used to maphack in Diablo 2. I never thought this was bad and I still don't. I don't care how the game is intended to be played if I don't hurt anybody. I want to have fun.

2- I used some CS 1.6 hacks, initially out of curiosity on what it looked like and how it worked. I ended up messing around with it on unprotected CS servers - mostly to catch other hackers. Nothing to be proud of though - I killed a lot of "legit" people and that's just awful of me. I make myself feel better by thinking anyway, only bad people play on VAC-free servers. Still pretty shitty even though I probably did it for only 30-45 mins. I was a very very good CS player without hacks 7-8 years ago.

3- In Diablo 2, I had some program that would automatically pick up good items that were dropped. I'd always get all the high runes and unique drops wherever I went. Really awful of me.

4- This is by far the worst thing, I feel bad about it. In Diablo 2 I had a drophack which would drop people out of games. It could be used in Act 2. Since the charm annihilus is impossible to trade in the trade window, people used this method where both people drop the item and run to pick up the other person's item. I would drop my annihilus, they would drop their item and I would boot them from the game, picking back up both items. I think back and I feel awful... I really don't have an excuse. I once literally cried in my mother's arms when I traded a truckload of stuff for a duped Tyrael's Might. Diablo 2 was full of awful folks.

Edit: I also used farm bots in Diablo 2, not sure where to put it on the list but yeah, it farmed SOJs while I was in school and while I was sleeping.

Cheat whenever I feel like it will keep an otherwise uninteresting game interesting - only in single player of course (or with friends cheating as well, since they couldnt macro in age of empires lol).

No. I have never ever used cheats in MP or SP games I've played as it would defeat the purpose of playing them.

Edit: Not counting few instances of Black Sheep Wall or Show Me The Money I used to test things out in WarCraft2.

Never used any kind of multiplayer cheat, and never will. Cheating to me is one of the lowest things you can do as a person, since it undermines the hard work and experience of everyone you are playing with.

I don't really use cheats in single player either, ever since I had a NES Game Genie, it just wasn't fun for me. I didn't even like using the Contra 30 lives trick, I wanted to beat it using the 3 default lives like the sadistic game developers intended. I don't find satisfaction in beating a game using cheats.
