Is this only for vocabulary? Knowing a bunch of words is nice but knowing how to structure sentences in addition would be even better. I have only spent a couple hours on it so far so I don't know fully how the sessions progress.

Obviously you aren't going to learn the language just by using this but it helps somewhat. I've been at it for a while now and it already helps me at least have a basic understanding of sentences I'd be previously unable to read.

My main gripe now is how unpolished the non-featured wordlists are (and depending on the target languague, that might be your only real option); plural forms of a word are almost always absent and mistakes are common, usually small gender and spelling errors, but every now and then you find a word with an entirely different meaning or one that doesn't even exist. Yeah you can ignore them but there should be a way to report or suggest a correction beyond posting a note for the word saying that it is wrong, or if there is indeed one, it should be more prominent.

I'm having a lot of minor troubles with the hindi list. Most have already been mentioned such as incorrect words or strange spellings (for some reason (N) is different from n). More troubling is how there seems to be random case sensitivity. Sometimes it gives me a nearly for ignoring case, other times not. Also, every now and then, an entire sentence is on the list. The sentences are constructed of words that aren't previously known, and they seem to be for very specific situations so they I can't really learn which word correpsonds to what and the whole snetence is useless (i.e. that man will/must be our neighbor).

Ah, I'm sorry to hear this. At this point, our Hindi is entirely user-generated, and we haven't yet built up a solid team of volunteers, as we have with languages like Japanese and Korean. If you'd like to be involved in bringing things up to scratch, we can try and rally a few people to the cause, and start a discussion on the forums... email ben at memrise dot com and he'll help you get started!

Does anyone know why the pronunciation is not working on my firefox, while working fine on Safari? I guess it's the fault of one of my add-ons, but I don't know which one among these: AdBlock, NoScript, Flash block, Fox Lingo, etc.
Best or nothing.

Wow that I missed this thread before. I was just starting to learn Italian, and it seems this will be a perfect tool to learn the first vocabulary. Really great stuff!

It's a bit tough to use without the grammar, especially in Korean. Also, I've noticed that there are tiny mistakes here and there, but overall it's better than any other way to learn vocabulary.

I would guess it might be NoScript, it has blocked the pronounciation on the laptop for some time until I found out. Maybe it's the same with your Firefox?

Btw, people are really insane about gathering points for the leaderboards in these early days of the month, wow :D

Anyone else getting some bugs when displaying new words? Sometimes the character doesn't show, and there's just a square, or a bold letter. Also I have two plants stuck in some kind of strange limbo which no amount of watering can shift.

Apart from that still loving the site - it's helping me so much. GTo7_Panda, do you think now would be a good time to submit our suggestions? I've got about a fair amount of comments since the update.

Yeah, I have the same feeling - seems like it´s a good time now to collect comments. Will initiate today or tomorrow.

I think I will do it in this way:
1. You guys post feedback
2. I will put the feedback in a feedbackspoiler in the OP & categorize.
3. Poll per feedback: Much needed / less needed / not needed or Fully agree / partly agree / don´t agree.

Is it okay this way?

This is such a great program. Spoken mandarin is tough for my untrained ear though.
(looking at you Jiao1 and Jiao3)

They even both have the exchange symbol in them with Jiao1 being exchage and jiao3 being dumpling.
oh well just gotta keep trying till i can recognize the tone diffrence.

Edit 1: ugh... now having same problem with You2 and You3

I've noticed that the number of plants that require watering seem to have decreased. I suggest having user defined variables for the "rate of wilting" and another for "number of new seeds planted". It was initially 7 but has been changed to 5.

Hey. just a suggestion:

I learn Mandarin and it would be great if all the signs would be shown in a normal computer font as well, so I can learn them both in large for the details but also get used to how they look on a computer...would be a great improvement!

Thanks
