We are extremely close to shutting down this thread for the same reasons the PUA thread was shut down. While some of the time this thread contains actual discussion with people asking help and people giving nice advice, it often gets derailed by rubbish that should not be here. The moderation team will be trying to steer this thread in a different direction from now on. Posts of the following nature are banned: 1) ANYTHING regarding PUA. If your post contains the words 'alpha' or 'beta' or anything of that sort please don't hit post. 2) Stupid brags. You can tell us about your nice success stories with someone, but posts such as 'lol 50 Tinder matches' are a no-no. 3) Any misogynistic bullshit, including discussion about rape culture. 4) One night stands and random sex. These are basically brags that invariably devolve into gender role discussions and misogynistic comments. Last chance, guys. This thread is for dating advice and sharing dating stories. While gender roles, sociocultural norms, and our biological imperative to reproduce are all tangentially related, these subjects are not the main purpose of the thread. Please AVOID these discussions. If you want to discuss them at length, go to PMs or start a blog. If you disagree with someone's ideologies, state that you disagree with them and why they won't work from a dating standpoint and move on. We will not tolerate any lengthy derailments that aren't directly about dating.

So I actually had two thoughts about my previous pokemon post. First, on a frivolous note, if you had to have date/have sex with a gen 1 Pokemon gym master, who would it be? Sabrina all the way for me! The second more serious comment is this: So there are many ways to approach dating. In the same way, there are many ways to play pokemon too. On one hand, you can try to catch them all, and actively go seek out girls/guys all the time. On the other hand, you can save that masterball for the one that you know is best for you. Both are fine, and really don't feel pressured to adopt either strategy.

Just google image "pokemon lorelei" and you'll see why 12 year old DPB always chose to play as her in Pokemon Puzzle League (and why 27 year old DPB still does...) Hiya cutie

On the bright side, I have been seeing this guy whose company I enjoy much more. He is very rational and intelligent, thoughtful, and funny. And the best thing about him is that he enjoys e-sports, even did his BA thesis on e-sports in Korea and got me to feel passionate about e-sports again. He is engaged to this one girl but I am fine with it. He and his fiance are there for each other for emotional support, finance, and their careers and I am basically a "boyfriend" to him. But one thing that has been on my mind a lot, is it a bad thing if I am very concerned about how someone maintains their outward appearance, especially for things such as eating habits?

So I was minding my own business yesterday, and this girl on tinder sends me a message. At first I just kinda baited and said weird stuff. She asked are you "noname terran"s little brother? Now "noname terran" is exactly the name of one of my best friends gf, the description of her was also on point. And now the pieces just fell into place. Her name, her relation to "noname terran". This girl who started talking to me is the girl "noname terran" and my friend wanted me to meet/set me up with. I myself didn't want to because of the longer distance, we had a huge debate about LDR back in this thread.

How can you save the for the masterball for "one pokemon you know's best for you" when you don't seek them out in the first place. Not everyone can luckbox an OP Pikachu that is given to him as his first Pokemon ![]()

It's not bad if its important to you. However these are things you can teach someone so don't be too quick to write someone off.

First of all, sorry for the end of your relationship. Second, try to read only the bolded parts. You just got out of an ugly relationship and hop into another one as the third wheel for someone who is unfaithful to his fiancé? I'm sure there is more to it and I'm not getting the full picture, but this reeks of disaster waiting to happen. As long as you are not an equal partner in this love triangle and acknoledged by both as such it will probably crash and burn down. Oh, and it is totally fine being picky with social behaviour. You won't be happy if every time your SO eats you feel like you belong to a different world and are embarassed about it in public.

none of those peeves of yours are outlandish at all. everyone has them (auto nos for me are smokers, selfishness, rudeness, esp to wait staff and people who aren't as lucky in life, etc). If anything, at least as far as that, you sound like you have your head screwed on straight as far as awareness about your situation, what you want, self improvement, etc. your other paragraph, the only other thing I can say is why on earth would you want any part of that? Even if they have some kind of open relationship? I mean if you're truly down with open relationships and that has been your thing for a while whatever, but that's not the kind of thing that sounds like it's healthy fresh out of a break up. there are plenty of non attached people who'd be down for rebound action

For example, if someone said, "I just got out of a relationship but the next day I found someone who is perfect and we spend all our time together now" that would be the polar opposite and would actually be worrisome.
