If you're smoking around small children or infants, indoors or even out doors (not making a conscious effort to distance yourself if they pass by you or what have you) these days, you probably should re-evaluate how you smoke should you want to continue smoking. It is some pretty basic smokers' etiquette imo.

If you smoke indoors, around children, as the study they reference is by pediatricians I've no doubt that the shit that settles in your furniture could be harmful to a small child or infant. If you are so inclined to let your toddler light fireworks, a punk and heavy adult supervision is recommended in lieu of the cigarette. .

People thinking shitty food in large portions is 'healthy' as a result of clever marketing and terrible education is definitely a problem. But that specific condition isn't particularly a widespread issue.

Yeah I think that's exactly the reason. I don't think that's too surprising either, considering not everyone has confidence in themselves, especially if they've had a break-up or rejection in the past.

If your not going to be afraid of something like that, how can they be afraid of initiating an conversation? the reason is not "fear" but more a disdain of unknown variables. Say we go hunt bears, for example. There's a causal plan. Find bear, kill bear. So long as you do things right, you have a guaranteed result. Asking girls out is different. You can do everything right, but still not get the desired result. Because it isn't causal, people are afraid to jump into it. Its the same fear people of have of say jumping into a pitch black pool of water without knowledge of what's in it or how deep it its. You'd rather dip your toe in, maybe toss a rock in, test the water. But if you were asked to simply jump in the water you'd think it was crazy.

I thought you're supposed to toss it over your shoulder so it stays clean--no one else does this?
