What about a system where your earnings are capped at some point? Like you can earn 100k currency a year. Everything above will go into some social fund. Obviously most people would stop working when they hit cap and do something else they love or want to do. There would be some disruption late in the year when more people hit the cap and basically the market for luxury stuff would become obsolete. Dunno. Just spitballing

Nah I meant hardcapped. As in it doesn't matter where the currency comes from (wage, shares, rent, whatever). Obviously there are still circumventions like hard cash, trading stuff directly without involving currency and so on that would be impossible to track. And the social fund doesn't go just to anyone but mainly to children and disabled, to childcare, to infrastructure

I mean, step 1 would obviously have to be to hammer down most of the loopholes. It'll require an international effort, or multinationals will just relocate their HQ, or pay their upper management in the Bahamas or something.
So, now that we have figured out international cooperation on tax, why don't we just put extreme progressive taxes on high income? Great idea, but see step 1.
I think Neb's ideas of abolishing ownership of companies and making everything a coop has more chance of actually getting anything done in the short term. At least that outright removes the loophole of paying in equity (as well as the perverse financial market of trading equity). That said it has plenty of problems of its own. Also, doesn't GH have a blog specifically to discuss how to implement socialism?

I'm having possibly boomer-coded issues with Youtube, I'm trying to find a channel that I watched a video on a few months ago, the channel is called "R A W" and I can't generate it with the search tool because it keeps offering me channels called "raw" or "raw [...]", is there a way that I can force the spaces in the search?

So then the most optimal meta play would be to just get pregnant as many times as humanly possible, because you wouldn't need to worry about providing for her yourself since the social welfare fund would handle it. GG.

Unfortunately, the google exact match quotes aren't quite exact anymore. You can try: "R" "A" "W" or "R " " A " " W" and filter to only search channels after each.
But it's possible they changed the channel name if you haven't found it since.

Have you tried something like ChatGPT? I couldn't find anything about a channel named "R A W" but a few months ago an AI bot helped me find an ancient video I wouldn't be able to find with just google or youtube's search tools.
|
I ended up going back through my history for like 1h and I found it like this. I tried ChatGPT just now out of curiosity, if you give enough information about the channel it ends up finding it but you need a lot of specifics. But that's good to know anyway. Thanks both of you.

This is a common enough thing they have a website for this search: https://www.tunepocket.com/youtube-channel-search/#channel-search-form
On youtube you can also go to history -> Search Watch history
edit: Glad you found it ^

I think my graphics card came with a code for a rare Star Citizen ship back in the day. How would i go about safely selling that as someone who doesn't use any ebay, paypal and stuff?

Hey, selling relics to a cult can make you a lot of money. The weird Star Citizen cult is still going, so if that ship still "exists" (at least in JPEG format), they might be able to get some money for it.
That would be the first thing to figure out, if that code is actually redeemable. Then figure out what the market value would be, and find a cultist that really would like that relic.
But if you have no interest in using any of the common money transfer methods, getting that money might be hard.

There used to be a star citizen reddit black market , I sold my account on there when the game turned 7 years late.
If its still there, you can demand a direct bank transfer.

Of course *safe* here is a relative term, but free money is free money I guess! Enjoy

Enjoy Thanks, that was my thinking, I never cared about the game at all, always wonder why it's still alive and got nothing to loose. But last time i checked that thing was worth more than i payed for the card, selling would be worth my time and some effort.
I do cardmarket for MtG and sold classic video games with my brother over his ebay, it was good money, but i'm too much of a boomer about those digital items.
