House is gunna have to somehow avoid jailtime. It's confirmed that police is after him and he can't go back to the hospital. I really like this season finale, because something huge happen and they can't fix it. It's not going to go back to what it use to be anymore. The whole series could've ended there.
I can't imagine what House is going to do next. Most likely the cops track him down and he serves jail time. But that's not interesting is it?
House seems to have gone into a psychotic breakdown. He can't take pain. Even though he cut his own leg in his bathtub, psychological pain, he can't take or won't take and he'll do anything to relieve himself. Thus, car into house. It was definitely bad-ass of him. He could've seriously injured someone, but at that point, he had tunnel vision.
House could've seriously wanted to kill cuddy/boyfriend. He wanted them gone to get rid of his heartache. But he was content at not killing them and making a big commotion. So IMO, I don't think he actually wanted them dead even though it was possible that he could've hit them.
Onto other thoughts... I wonder if House has any correlation to House on the Haunted hill... where some doctor created his own hospital that does insane and scary operations on people.

No more awesome medical mysteries forcing tough decisions / crazy tests / etc and creating weird conflicts between personalities, it just plays out like a soap opera with a medical case on the side. I keep hoping it will get back to that, and it keeps moving further away. I liked how they moved away from that, the formula for the show was becoming too obvious (mid season 2 I was already thinking bleh, but kept watching because of the black humour). Granted it did go down hill after the first few seasons, however opening double episode of season 6 was absolutely brilliant.

Where's the news that season 8 is going to be the last one? Is it official?

hugh laurie said he'd be returning for an 8th and final season.
i also liked Masters. this season would have sucked without her while 13 was out.
the finale, i dunno. i really disliked the patient, and i don't understand why House would have done that. it just doesn't fit his character at all. after re-watching that scene, there's no way he would've known they weren't still at the table. the little girl could've been there for all he knew. i understand wanting to go for self-destruction, but i felt they went too far with that. it's like they literally threw away a season of character development "out the window".

this was the worst season, went downhill after masters was out. I liked everything before her swan song. It'd be dumb if they continued house without house

This was the worst season by far in my opinion, at this point I just want it to end. They better finish it up with season 8!

But he probably was pretty sure Rachel wasn't there since he saw the dinner table was served for only the guests. He also might have known that Cuddy's mother was looking after Rachel knowing he and Cuddy had dated for quite a while. I don't think he would've been fine with hurting Rachel, but he might've been okay with hurting everyone else. Also Wilson just noted a few hours earlier how House had taken a month's dose of vicodin in a few days, it's not like House was his most rational self to begin with.

I was extremely disappointed with this season finale. When I think of House, I think it as sheer, text book drama. Filled with story lines and endings that are so gripping you can hardly handle it. Look at all the other season finales, almost every single one of them is so powerful it resonates with you past the episode. This one just seemed... not dramatic. Maybe if he would have crashed into the window and starting shouting knocking things over with his cane, I don't know. But something else had to happen, that just didn't feel dramatic. There was no dialogue between Cuddy/House after he crashed which just seemed.. boring?
Kind of upset that I stayed up through the morning watching it. :\

I thought it was absolutely brilliant. The character of House developed even further.
Very rarely do you see an anti-hero portrayed so realistically. He's not stupid or crazy(as such) he just can't cope with reality and the rationalisation of his emotions. Everyone else is playing life around him while he just tries to play himself.
This isn't a happy story, House is not a character to be admired he's a character to pity. He's tried the miserable route, he's tried the pyshciatrist route and he's tried the self deprecating route. People keep trying to tell him there's a solution, there's something he hasn't tried. But really there IS nothing. There's nothing left. So it just boils down to narcissism and self destruction. They portrayed it so well.
To the person above me saying he should have been emotional after the crash. But he's not emotional. That's the whole point, he can't feel or act on feelings so he's just left with crashing through walls and not caring.

In the end I still though cuddys reasons for breaking up with house were dumb.

Disappointing season finale... I don't see how he's going to be able to go back to the hospital, and I don't see how they killed off Cuddy's character with that episode -.-'

House could just meet the characters occasionally or video call them etc... But yeah they've but themselves in a pretty crazy situation. I think Cuddy moving on and meeting someone else was her "ending".

+ Show Spoiler +I was just surprised that the diagnosis was ridiculously easy to figure out (since when does it take two tries and fifteen minutes ...for any House case to get solved, especially one based around the premise that *every symptom could be fictitious*?), and House and Cuddy's situation didn't live up to the police intro/ trailer expectations, in my opinion. I did like Taub's two-second conversation with Rachel though. Heh.
