Cyro, here is a list of some maps that might be useful:
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/31408
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/23437
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/72767 (angelhoney diff)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/114488 (spaced, might be be too hard for practice)
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/125702 (insane diff; beware of the end, it's very very hard, but good practice)
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/95360 (another diff)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/68617 (extra diff)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/185645 (spaced, beware of rythm changes)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/57923 (not really streamy, but there are some spaced streams worth practicing)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/31419
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/52335 (also not really streamy, but with some nice spaced streams)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/66626 (another diff)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/5445 (not slow, but streamheavy)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/26093 (not slow, but streamheavy)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/43166
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/49052 (not slow, but streamheavy)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/55235 (not slow, but streamheavy)

Not all of them may be useful in your case, you should just filter the ones you think are.

@skyR: sorry for misunderstanding your post, in hindsight i don't really understand how i could interpret it that way. I have tried to look for such a soundfile, but i couldn't really find it..

Can anyone recommend maps that consist of mostly squares and jumps (no long streams or stacks).

https://osu.ppy.sh/s/18428 this is exactly what I'm looking for in a map and in terms of difficulty as well. It's just... a bit too long, or this https://osu.ppy.sh/b/155404 though still a bit hard for me ._.

I found some maps, but it's very hard to estimate what you'd be able to play or not, so they may be too easy or hard. Also, i noticed it's very very hard to find maps without any streams at all, so i tried to filter maps only with easy streams. 5 note streams is probably the highest you'll encounter. I hope you at least find these a bit useful. At every map i'm talking about the hardest difficulty. Also, in general i onlt mentioned maps with an ar lower than 9. If golden sky is a bit hard for you, ar9 is probably out of the question. If it's not, let me know, i may be able to find some other maps.

https://osu.ppy.sh/s/40568 (easy map with some large jumps, véry slow)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/32375
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/48906 (not very jump heavy, but when i played this, somehow i had trouble aiming the circle patterns)
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/140557
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/77928
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/18756
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/14460 (not really jumpy, but a bit hard to read. I know you didn't want stacks, but it's an excellent map to practice stacked patterns)

And for very long term practice: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/35773\

Edit: Holy crap, the map you first mentioned is fun with DT

Edit2: Obligatory brag score: + Show Spoiler +

it was only 218pp

fun to watch and pretty mindblowing

Yorbon, just passed your map https://osu.ppy.sh/b/323875 - Delis' insane (same one as above^ lol) DT.. after 15 or so attempts, with 91% accuracy and 250 unstable rate. I dunno why you think 255pp for SS is weird, because 98% FC would only give like 220 or so.. and it's completely out of my league (i can do quite a few 170-180pp scores)

When you're good enough, HR is barely different from nomod. It just punishes you for not being able to read extremely quickly, not having the cursor in the right place at the right times, being off timing etc way more than nomod, but a perfect play on both looks pretty much the same

Played that map 30-40 times, can't beat ~220 unstable rate with 12 misses unless i have a lot more practice for the game in general. Not sure how you can think it's easy, 210bpm is not at all easy and nor is 9.6, i would struggle with either but the combination is way too much. You need to be exceptionally good to be comfortable enough to FC one of those maps with high accuracy

Hm, well, note i said 'relatively easy pp', and not that the map was easy or something. What i meant is that I think it gives a lot of pp compared to other maps with (in my perception) near equal difficulty. I had more trouble fcing any other map in my top 8 ranks than delis' insane of that map. Maybe it's because i got better, or it was a fluke or something. Sorry if my statement sounded arrogant or anything; that certainly wasn't my intention.

That map is known as "easy pp map" afaik (though obviously you still need a certain skill level to fc it with good acc).

Today was a good day.

It's still just really damn hard if you don't have the skills for it

like a lot of streamy/pattern maps, i've worked really hard and thrown 20-40 attempts at numerous maps that have given me only ~110-130pp while several of my top 5 have come way easier than that and given ~165-176. Skill is so subjective in this game that i don't like to make comments about what's easy and what's not - usually with somebody around my rank or even higher, there's a ton of their scores that i can beat and a ton that i can't come close to matching. Scottyyy has a 200-something PP rog unlimitation FC for example and can stream like 250 with "ok" accuracy, so a lot of stuff that is really easy for him is impossible for me, and a lot of stuff that's easy for me is impossible for him

Sorry i've been feeling a little frustrated and depressed recently

There is a quote i heard recently that made me think a lot

actually it was ~2:25-3:00 here (lol dramatic music)

I got a lot of things pretty easily, i'm usually quite narrow focused and breaking into top 20-10% of stuff with a bit of work while some of my friends struggle to get close. In the end though that doesn't really matter, it's a lot about the work that you put in after you stop getting better for free.

Yorbon i'm still eyeing your list (played osu an hour or two in like 4 days) and i'm gonna sit down and DL them all + play a couple hundred later and tommorow morning, i think (:

You have to put this into perspective. The map IS 5.51 star with DT after all. Compared to other maps of similar difficulty, this one has very easy patterns so I can see why Yorbon would classify it as easy. For example nomod maps at this star diff have way harder patterns at similar (though admittedly usually slightly lower) speed or long streams, streams+jumps, sliderstreams etc.
I don't have much experience with DT maps of this star diff, but I've played a bunch of DT maps at ~5 star or even lower that gave me a lot more trouble than this map.

"I can see why Yorbon would classify it as easy"

Like i said before, I never mentioned the difficulty of the map. 'relatively easy pp' means comparing the amount of pp given by getting a score on this map with a map of similar perceived difficulty (hence relatively). The absolute difficulty (assuming something like that even exists) is irrelevant for that statement. I expected somewhere near 210 pp maybe, but got around 255.
Also, as my first try fc's on maps are normally limited to 180pp, I figured this would be 'relatively easy pp' (defined like i just did).
In general i don't think maps, mods or certain aspects of the game are easy or hard, as those vary quite a lot per individual. If i've ever given anyone the impression I did think (or imply) so in the (recent) past, i would like to apologise for my foolishness or lack of communicational skills.
