Gratz skyr! I saw it was quite the step in the pp department as well ^^
I've made some serious steps speedwise. I've been playing this (https://osu.ppy.sh/s/120987) map to increase speed. It's exactly the same map at every bpm, but it's purely to get used to each bpm. Today i got some great scores: 220bpm fc, but i somehow got nervous at the end and screwed up my acc, as it was 99% at 3/4 + Show Spoiler +
240bpm good acc, seems that i'm finally getting used to it. (4 out of 6 misses where a series of misreadings, it had nothing to do with speed >.>) + Show Spoiler +
And last, but not least: 260 bpm. I was soo glad to finally get an A. For someone who's weak point has been tapping speed ever since i can remember, this is a huge improvement. + Show Spoiler +
At like 2.4k combo in I had 99.6%+ acc Stupid game D:
Edit: Bonus lols Last one there the miss was at the start but "this map is really long I won't FC it anyways!"
Also: shift+tab = amazing. Probably could of FC'ed that 2,9k combo map with shifttabbing :\
Edit 2: After not really having played in 1-2 months, 2 days ago I am trying to remember name of a song I like. "Oh it's in one of my osu favs, I'll just check there for the name." "Might as play the map of this awesome song once now that I'm here." "You've played 100 times this session!"
Nice, i'm certainly going to use that. Especially when im trying to fc something i find myself looking at the score for some reason, even while playing.
I accidentally stopped recording through that play which was unfortunate. It was quite hard to reproduce so all i have in terms of handcam footage is this FC that came eventually, but with worse cursor speed and accuracy because my hand+brain wasn't in as good shape
Still awesome though, i'm glad to have done it! I've got more vids to upload and more maps to play
Is there any way to stop beatmaps from muting hitsounds like Lifetheory - Daisy? It's pretty infuriating because i can't do OD10 jumps without them. I keep getting ~98% accuracy with HR up to halfway on the map and then i feel like i should be able to do it but as soon as the hitsounds go off, i'm lost timing wise for the jumps
Here's what it sounds like to me, i dont remember it being this bad when i was a few hits from SS on it before -
also
obviously the best remote control, those sick jumps at 1:00 - 1:15
^Both of these videos have the same hitsound volume, so i guess that helps show why i'm confused at not being able to hear anything on the first one. I can aim and hit without them but not ar10 od10 jumps.
If i knew what was wrong, i wouldn't be asking lol
i added a few people just to talk a little. Usually a few words and not much else, the higher level/known peeps probably get hundreds of people talking to them.
I've had at least half a dozen or so pull me out of players list and randomly spec/talk to me and i've never even hit 7.5k rank so they must get flooded
wat 230bpm over 95% accu
low OD, but wow i'm happy to be able to actually mentally process those streams somewhat. I think my "streaming speed wall" was largely mental and not physical. The more i went above ~170bpm the higher chances i had of my fingers just doing really stupid things that didn't look anything like streaming, but i'm getting much better now (:
FC run starts at 1:35
^I'm obviously hitting early there because i'm uncomfortable, but i'm not sure why in particular. 95 unstable rate is way better than before though, my best before this was ~122 and a few weeks ago i was getting 150 or so on the same map. I've heard that really good HR players can approach 50 or so. This is also a matter of getting used to ar10 which is very much a work in progress

Watched the video and there are definitely hitsounds, just super quiet. So I looked at the map in editor and through a bit of trial and error determined that its your skins drum-hitnormal.wav (since your using the Ignore beatmap hitsounds option). Simply create a copy of soft-hitnormal.wav and replace/rename file drum-hitnormal.wav in your skin folder. Tested it myself and it works for this map at least.
And suddenly, for some reason, I seem to handle AR9 decently between 4 and 5 stars, as long it isn't high BPM or streams of death like CROW'SCLAW - Possession. Well, i'm getting somewhere at least.
