Occasionally shit goes extremely bad, like today, and we die in expensive fires in rather unfavorable odds, but better this than playing the null-sec numbers game, where skillpoints dominates decision-making in terms of importance.
I wouldnt call today extremely bad. While we didnt do nearly as well as we normally do, we still pretty much broke even (or came out ahead, depending on how the BR feels like behaving? Im not sure why it flops between 48 and 61% efficiency)

My main problem with nullsec blobs at the moment is they dont engage in an intelligent way. Take the NCDOT response to the FA gang: One third of the NCDOT fleet was in a logistic ship, their logistics were as large as half the FA fleet. They werent looking for a fight. If they were they wouldve started off with a smaller force and slowly staggered in more ships. Most nullsec players just want kills, which is the reason for blobbing. If they don't outnumber the opponent they might actually lose if the other side has people who actually know how to fly thier ships.
The entire issue is also inflated due to most corps and alliances blueing everything around them. Despite achieveing the intended goal of no longer being in danger to having a pos sieged, and being able to batphone a bunch of people should they themselves get into trouble, it just leads to bigger blobs and overall less skilled small gangs. The end result is the mentality that 'We dont outnumber them/have logi/ewar/etc so we cant fight them' when realistically they can fight but they are so afraid of losing that they dont unless they have a serious advantage (usually by outnumbering their opponent). This doesnt lead to them having 'fights' so much as getting kills, definition of 'fights' being an engagement where they actually might lose the battle.
Nanogangs exploit this fact by being mobile enough to pick off inexpierenced pilots and anyone who gets caught out of position, using mobility to prevent the numerical superiority of the enemy fleet from having as much of an effect. Ofcourse any time your forced to start close to the enemy fleet, such as if you jump into them and burn off, theres a high probability that your going to lose ships since you can't do anything against the number of ships your fighting until you're able to pull range. As a result you don't see alot of nanogangs jump into larger gangs with multiple recons and such very often- your basically gaurenteed to lose atleast one person , considerably more if the enemy pilots are well coordinated.

I didn't want that Loki anyway.

I think attempts at recruiting in our thread is a pretty good compliment of The Hatchery.

start killing thousands of rifters to bump up our region stats ?
|
Obviously we need to have giant blob warfare so we can be as elite as NC. That should up the kills.

The true motivation behind the Spawning Pool has finally been revealed.

I strongly recommend having smartbombs on your space vehicles at all times. This way, you can even get kills from your allies. In large fleetfights this quickly racks up many a kill. This also has the added benefit of making your killboard look better.

Yeah, this way all your highs can be salvagers for making isk.

Don't forget the tractor beams so you can do it efficiently

And the miners to be able to make isk between the fights

LAWN knows how to do elite pvp, bringing in 3 scimmies to fight 2 canes and 7 rifters. Little did they know we had a whopping 2 drakes as backup, so we killed a thrasher incursus and sabre and just logged off.

so after the last weekend its time for a litte write up even if i enjoy reading more than writing
last week i finaly got into my tengu after flying a drake for nearly half a year. this was such a refreshing thing that i went out around sara and did my usual sara to aunenen exploration trip which i hadnt done for many weeks due to less time for eve and my industry business (which is recently sold). after a few radar and mag sites which netted me a nice 100m in the first hour of flying i found a 5/10 that rewarded me with and Pithum B-Type Medium Shield Booster. nice - 700m isk in just 1.5h.
i continued to probe the next systems on my route with my covertops char but didnt find any more combat plexes so i decided to go make something to eat. after i returned i saw probes on deepscan and they werent mine! eager for my first killing in the tengu (flying pvp fit all the time) and having probed all sites i KNEW that there was only one site in system worth doing - a radar site. so i paitently got myself into position, placing my covops inside the site and my tengu one jump out - making sure i get a good warpin once someone tries to loot the cans. and the trap sprang! the probing tengu warped in, i jumped into system and engaged him. he droped constantly but for my lose there was a struckture between him and me so i had to heat my point to not lose him. i got him to half shields before my point burned out and he could warp off... damn that structure and me doing many mistakes as im pumped with adrenalin.
this could have been my first solo kill ever but i wouldnt have to wait very much longer that day before i would be rewarded! i had some nice chat with my pray in local and had to hear that he was full of shiny loot and already thinking about jetcaning and destroying it when my point burned....
on went my journey to aunenen with a short stop for another 5/10. Gila BPC + overseer effects. hello to another 150m
finally i arrived in aunenen and you wont belive what was the first thing i spotted on deepscan... the tengu which escaped me a few hours, doing a combat plex obvious!!! i deepscan his direction and decide not to use combat probes but core probes. checkpot. i onecycle his plex and: its a 6/10!!! the second i jump into system he notices me and with the comment "WHY YOU???" in local he just abandons his plex instantly. leaving the 6/10 behind with only 3-4BS left to kill in the room before the shiny loot very happy about my pirating i finish the plex but sadly got only another Gila BPC + overseer effects. another 150m for like 10minutes work in addition to the isk i could harvest some sweet sweet tears and got 10m isk bounty on my head. he was really mad i tell you :D
now the reall fun starts to happen. Aunenen is know for its infamous gatecamp of retard faggots called Tundragon. they will never engage in a only remote fair fight and always have a scorpion far away to jam you. they even bring an orca to the field so they can scoop ships before loosing them. if you bring a fleet to fight them they will just hide at their pos and never move out of it until you retreat.
this said i went on in Aunenen to do a Guristas Outpost. After clearing the first of two rooms i see combat probes droped in space and soon after they are on me within short range. Seeing that only tundragon is in local chat i call for backup as i know their cheap tactics. While Serg starts to move down here i get off the warpin to have a good starting distance to engage. having my covertops char watching the warpin gate into the plex it doesnt take long to see two canes warp to the gate followed by a scorpion. little did they know that their scorpion beeing an battleship could not enter the plex i was in so it warped back to their station and returned in a manticore. Meanwhile the canes arrived in my pocket and i started to engage. Without their cheep jamming tactics they had no chance against my mighty tengu which tore the first cane down very fast without taking any significant damage. once the first cane hit 20% armor his other friend left the field. victory - my first ever solo kill:
http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=11761890
having had my first taste of blood i went for more. i knew they ganked the entrance gate from highsec and they were all pirates so i just had to wait! it didnt take long for an Dominix to jump into system and Tundragon to start their usual gank with 2 canes and a drake. once they all agressed i undocked and warped to the gate at 20. sadly the dominix was already dieing and the drake warped off before i could even lock him. but for my plesure i got on of the canes and smashed him like a man!
http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=11763787
than i somehow decloaked a manticore that was sitting there too. which belonged to Tundragon. it was their out of corp, non pirate orca pilot. quickly i make sure he wont use that manticore again to harras unknowing travelers:

to be continued.... read later how i lost 2 tengus that evening, one of them in the most hillarious ways you can imagine

Its got to get to you; on some level you have to realize waiting for this many logis to be confident to engage is...well, confirmation of badness.

I read on the EVE-O forums that the Dramiel was nerfed, can someone explained me the differences ? And additionally why isn't the cruor more used since he has bonused for both energy vamp and web ?
