You would clear out your 10-15 initial sites then get maybe one more each day, and individual C3 sites aren't worth much. Like Tofu said, if you want to make money living in low class WHs you need to be able to chain collapse and farm your static. If you are considering using caps, just find some empty C5 (most C5s are empty) and do cap escalations. Bare minimum you can do them with a couple lokis, a triage archon, and two or three dreads. This was my concern. I didn't think the sites respawned very quickly at all which is quickly going to diminish the value of your carrier since you cant jump it out your static to assist. Running C5 cap escalations with carriers and dreads and webs is not really feasible for one person...at least not while maintaining my sanity. I was considering as early as next week to start searching for a hole and dropping a tower on my own. I figure one person and 3 accounts ought to be able to make a pretty good go of it...maybe the logistics will be too much, but we'll see. I'm bored.
The logistics aren't too bad, an Orca can hold a full month of fuel for a large pos and have room to spare, so you don't need to leave often.

There's not all that much money in farming a C3. Back when I used to run C3 sites, I made (before salvage/arch sites) just under 30M per anomaly and just under 60M per archeology site. If you salvage, that number increases by approximately 75%, maybe? It's not terrible money, but it's definitely not "let me build a carrier in this thing and farm it once a week and be hatchury spacerich" money.

So I've decided to educate some and have found that C3s do not come with W-space statics, only high/low/null. I'm sure this is common knowledge but that means that a C3 would probably work quite well for kwark's application.
I think I'm going to look for a C2 with a low/C3 static myself...

When I mentioned its inability to hold tackle on things I was told that there would be other ships in the fleet to fill the roles the maller can't do but it would form the core of the fleet. It's ok because there are other ships in the fleet to fill the role of DPS as well. :CSDW: That's the joke.jpg His reasoning was literally that the first fleets inability to do anything would be mitigated by an entire second fleet of various ships in correct fits which would be a well rounded and capable fleet and would patch up any gaps left by the fit of the Maller fleet. I didn't know how to argue against that.
There are many fleets in this fleet. The Maller fleet is the flagship fleet, though. It's the fleet that has nothing but flags which wave menacingly at their foes. It wins the real battle - the battle of the mind.

Tomorrows news today:
Kwark rents system from CFC, alliance named "THE SCORCH REPUBLIC",Makes his personal station public access, stocks it with jita, charges 100mil for 1 year of access, bubble camps his own station with 10 oracles for anyone who decides to use it without paying.

So I've not played for a couple years, and even then was around for only a couple months during the oddelulf days.
Is it worth me bringing my old rifter fodder account back to life? Or would I be better off starting from scratch with someones 21day trial? Another issue to consider is that I donated pretty much my entire net worth to the guy that had been running salvage missions for me, so there really isn't anything but two months of skills to come back to.
*Edit* here is where I left off: TL Killboard

426 unheated DPS, 2 Mag stabs, no warriors (I am assuming no rigs or 5% implants as well) That shit is really good, considering the thorax only has 5% damage per level.

Yeah but when it inevitably becomes ubiquitous people will start filling kin/therm instead of just invulns and in the end dps will remain bad.
|
If that stays, the vigilant... and demios would be the ultimate in nano for cruiser ships. Vigilant would be getting such disgusting DPS.

I think the ultimate question here is whether this has better damage application than the Talos. Hopefully, they've straddled the line where application is comparable but with some ambiguity. Either way, these ships may become very interesting. More ships being interesting is about all you can ask from CCP.
Also, one of the oft-forgotten drawbacks of rails is that overheating doesn't increase the per-shot damage - same kind of annoyance the artycane had. Although with frigates being so weak these days, I think that drawback has less impact.
