If you use tech 3s to do the sites a thanatos could easily apply its full dps by assigning 14 fighters (nobody has ADI V) between three tech 3s for a non insignificant damage increase. If one was a loki with webs that'd increase the damage output of the fighters further.

If you had enough fighters assigned and got the time down low enough, I could see setting up a permanent farming camp as not being a bad idea. It would be like mining, only actually worth your time. I guess the setup would be most of the burden. Then again you'd also have the chance to roam using WHs when you're bored.

The main issue is that the sites don't respawn that quickly. You would clear out your 10-15 initial sites then get maybe one more each day, and individual C3 sites aren't worth much. Like Tofu said, if you want to make money living in low class WHs you need to be able to chain collapse and farm your static. If you are considering using caps, just find some empty C5 (most C5s are empty) and do cap escalations. Bare minimum you can do them with a couple lokis, a triage archon, and two or three dreads.

What I have in mind is pretty much single player eve. Nullified tanky legions with a stab in the low running sites with half their dps coming from fighters assigned from a pos and letting the sites respawn because I only play every few days and don't really put much effort into it.

I'd have happily done cap escalations or whatever with you Orandos a few years back but life changes and I'm just not sure if I can still commit to that kinda thing.

This was my concern. I didn't think the sites respawned very quickly at all which is quickly going to diminish the value of your carrier since you cant jump it out your static to assist.

This was pretty much what I had in mind too. But didnt know what you were thinking, or the respawn rates of sites. Running C5 cap escalations with carriers and dreads and webs is not really feasible for one person...at least not while maintaining my sanity.

I was considering as early as next week to start searching for a hole and dropping a tower on my own. I figure one person and 3 accounts ought to be able to make a pretty good go of it...maybe the logistics will be too much, but we'll see. I'm bored.

btw my FA corp just proposed a doctrine fleet of the following

Maller
4x Focused Medium Pulse Laser I
2x Cap Recharger II
1x 10MN meta mwd
1x DCU II
2x ANP II
1x 1600 tungsten
1x EANM II
1x meta explosive active armour hardener
3x trimark
5x Scorch S

When I mentioned its inability to hold tackle on things I was told that there would be other ships in the fleet to fill the roles the maller can't do but it would form the core of the fleet.

I bet a pod would beat it in a 10km dash.

Also how many people would take it out without realizing you cant use Scorch in those guns wololololol

His reasoning was literally that the first fleets inability to do anything would be mitigated by an entire second fleet of various ships in correct fits which would be a well rounded and capable fleet and would patch up any gaps left by the fit of the Maller fleet. I didn't know how to argue against that.
