I'm going to be streaming a couple of farm4fame games later in about 1 hour, (Here). Hopefully Dreamhack finished before then.

Except no one's saying that here .__.

I want to see my MMR/PSR go up if you go on a 10 game winning streak. I pretty much play SD in PSR and then whatever in MMR. I really hate AP :/. I finally crawled up from 1300 land and hit like 1517 last night. Felt decent to not be bottom of the shit barrel anymore. Now I'm just in the middle of the shit barrel. Once you grasp certain things it's pretty easy to solo yourself out of low MMR/PSR ratings because a better player can exert that much more control over the entire game as the other team is bad. Even terrible players are able to perform if they have a 17-5-19 pyro on their team keeping the other team in their base. The thing is, not many heros even have the ability to carry that hard. A couple, like sil/hag/pebbs can be legit solo hard carries just by dominating mid, but most "carries" wold need some kind of support to really dominate. I don't see it possible to pull out of the "crap range" just with a support character. Although witch slayer can do a decent job. Getting sheep stick + all his other disables can pretty much shut down an opposing hard carry for a solid 10 seconds + drain half of his mana, and really turn a team fight around.
Hag, Pyro, Repulsor, and Pebs all do that snow ball effect extraordinarily well. Thing is though that pretty much any carry hero can get totally out of hand and dominate the game if you know how to farm appropriately. There is a reason that someone like Testie can pub stomp 1700 games even when his team is legitimately 1700. If you are that much better than everyone else at a PSR or MMR you are going to carry the game.
You can also have a huge impact on the game as ward bitch myrm if you know what the hell you are doing. Your teammates can be brain dead for all I care but if you really are better than them you will be where you are supposed to be, put wards in the right place, and just have enough of an impact to see your team through a win. Granted you simply can do more with a carry hero but don't under value having a good support on the team. They can win games too.

I watch Testie all the time, and the thing is, when he isn't playing hardcore carry hero, he doesn't always do that well. For someone as good as he is, he doesn't pub-stomp so hard that you could legitimately say you could solo as support out to 1800 MMR unless you are 100% godly, aka, Testie-like. If you're merely underrated, by, say, 100-200 points, I don't think anything but a hard carry hero played very well will rocket you out of that MMR range. Yes, if you play basically anything very, very well, you'll move up in the rankings. But if you play support, it's going to take a lot longer. That's what i mean, i suppose.

That's cause testie is carrying idiots who have no purpose being in the mmr that they are. At least the last time I watched his stream, he was playing with people like bignblack against 1800s. A true 1900+ player with four 1400 players will have a really tough time against 5 legit 1700-1800 players. But if you're solo MM'ing, this isn't the issue.
I used to think my teammates were just shit when I was stuck at 1600. I could point out a lot of things they did wrong, and while I knew I had some things to improve, I was convinced my teammates were bringing me down, and that I was a legit 1700 player. Surely, I thought, improving minor things like effectively stacking as support, or smarter counter-warding, surely that's not important as my teammates doing dumb shit like running in 3v5, all dying while killing nobody, losing a tower, losing control of the game, getting raped in all lanes, etc.
Then I stopped finding excuses for why I wasn't winning. I started improving on the little things in my own play. I started being more aware of the map, to see when enemies placed wards so I immediately de-warded them. I got smarter about my ward placement, and really started thinking about 'where will we need a ward' instead of randomly placing them at runes. I was focusing on protecting the carry, making sure he felt safe. Always carrying a tp, and always double checking when a bunch of dots converged on the carry to see if I needed to TP asaply. I worked on the basics of last hitting, and lane positioning. I legitimately got better, and solo mm'd up to 1800. Make no mistake I'm still shitty at this game, and so are you if you're not legitimately 1900. BUT I was complete and utter trash before, just like every other person stuck at 1600. If you can't tell, I did this as a support, and no, it wouldn't have been faster as a carry.
I'll say it one more time, if you're not winning out of your rating, the problem is you, not your teammates. There's no exceptions.

So I think after like 200 games I know my way around HoN somewhat (except a few heroes that I haven't played / am bad at ). Looking for EU people to TMM with (and to test my mic with), so I can finally climb up over 1800 (was almost there solo, tanked it all the way down to 1700 almost ).
You can find me on as [TL]Naib_hu
