He uses the staves in the order of his inventory, so hexing rod is used on turns in a multiple of four.
If you're going for the right side, silence staff isn't really that useful. I just have a high res character get entrapped by the right hand maid, and move everyone else outside the door first turn.
The hexing rod consistently goes for Gunter and then Jakob who never see combat for the most part. Second turn I just kill the maid and set up in the center room since Iago's freeze is more of a nuisance than a threat.
In general, the maids staff usage is really strategically suspect. They only go for important units if they can be attacked by other enemy units and otherwise consistently go for units like the servants and Azura.
After that it's pretty straight forward just keeping units out of range of hexing rod every fourth turn. I just tank the two freeze maids on the bottom, and haven't tried silencing them. It'd easier to burn through freeze staves to make sure you don't get hit by enough units to kill you.
Then again I don't really go for LTC strategies, might try one someday but it's not particularly enjoyable. I take that chapter pretty slowly and entrap Hans over the right wall after clearing the bottom room.

Thanks for the advice guys gonna try this out...

Haven't actually Entrapped Hans to kill him before, though I'll probably have to when I get there in my draft. On normal play, I swap Xander to Hero and use a mounted pair-up to kill Hans on player phase (Siegfried is physical 2-range so it dodges his Counter+Countermagic combo), and without the threat of effective damage, most of the rest of the room isn't that dangerous to him.
|
Yeah, I just wanted to pull him to kill at my leisure with bows and javelins without worrying about formation to deal with reinforcements, but entrap is just a luxury.
Xander does get around all those problems with Hans if you can kill him in one round with siegfried.
|
It's mostly a matter of whether his speed was good enough that you can hit 37 Speed after buffs to double him. It's easily doable since he only needs like 6 speed levelups to get there, and I've never had problems hitting that, but it's also conceivable for him to get speed screwed enough to fall short. I'd probably just Entrap or Enfeeble him in that case.
If you're playing a Ninja Avatar, you can also do it with your avatar, though the subsequent enemy phase is a little more suspect.

Wasnt the best strategy but it worked. First partner sealed xander to hero. I sacrificed nina by letting her get entrapped so she could open the inner door and release the sorceror's/reinforcements. Then corrin hero xander niles and leo killed the hero room. Then i baited the sorcs one by one then moved in there. At this point xander became a king, he learned sol and nearly cleared the final room's first spawn giving corrin niles and leo time to kill reinforcement sorcs. Rescue staffed xander and let the rest of team clean up final room. Niles with crescent bow ORK Hans. Now for endgame :D

You guys are pretty ruthless about letting people die, lol.

I fucked up. No idea how I do this without rescue...think i have to restart the run...

What staves do you have left? You might be able to cheese it still by double dancing a 10 move unit and a 9 move unit to the boss if you can also clear two blocking units.
It also naturally unblocks when you bring a unit in range of the mess, but I don't know how consistently you can get a ten square path by only having to clear one unit.
Otherwise, it should be possible to clear it the "normal" way by just absorbing weakness stacks. The maids target the stupidest stuff if you don't have anyone in attack range, so you can burn off a few turns of debuffs. You can kill the northern most maid, dance the unit out, and shelter Azura out of range to cut down the nonsense a bit (double dance the sheltering unit).
|
It's kind of awkward that you only realized this at endgame. It'd be a lot easier if you had a couple chapters to plan still, since it would allow you to make team adjustments to accommodate the movement options you need (Pass, Shelter, and Lunge being notable) and get capturables to help shore up issues. The pass Falcos from 24 that Choco mentioned, for example. Losing Nina on 26 is kind of awkward as well since that puts you down an Outlaw (10 mov or Pass)
It should still be quite possible to 3-turn the map with a Shelter-Dance if you can get enough movement on the first turn and handle blocking units (capture bait and Lunge being options for this).
Do you have any undone paralogues left? Those might give you enough chapters to make the necessary preparations.

If for some reason you have Mozu with spendthrift + line of death you can ORKO the boss and only need to clear one blocking unit.
I'm guessing line of death still gets reduced by dragon skin. Otherwise you would only really need LoD, as that would account for an absurd 40 damage with the brave bow.
|
The Avatar can also ORKO Takumi depending on build and skill procs, since Yato partially negates Dragonskin. +Str Cav can get to like 33 displayed damage and then just needs to trigger Dragon Fang once which is a little less than 50% chance (other skill procs like Rend Heaven or Luna might add enough damage, but I'm not sure since I don't know what the exact multiplier Dragonskin applies to skill damage and never got these skills for endgame). Non-Str Avatars have it a fair bit harder but it's still doable depending on what skills they have (+Mag avatars usually don't lose effectiveness getting 4 levels of Malig Knight by Friendship sealing Camilla/Percy, and can pick up +7 damage that way).
|
Looks like yato negates skill reduction. I had 21 displayed damage, and did 32 damage with dragon fang on Garon, assuming dragon fang boosts damage by 50% (the description is kind of wonky but that's the only calculation that makes sense given the circumstances).
Looking at my old save, Mozu was 10 damage short of hitting the the 64 attack needed to ORKO with just bow faire and +4 str from Silas S and capped str.
This could be overcome without any additional skills with arms scroll to get S rank bows (+1), str tonic (+2), Siegbert C rank as Wyvern Lord or Avatar C with at least 3 str pair up bonuses (+2), forged Crescent (+2) and Str rally (+4).
Edit: 33 damage is really high, lol but there are tons of ways to push the damage up as demonstrated.

I wasn't sure if Dragon Fang increases attack by 50% or damage by 50%.

Capped Str (35) + Yato (16) + Gunter/Charlotte A rank (7) + Elbow Room (3) + Defender (1) + Str Tonic (2) + Weapon Rank/WTA (4) = 68 attack; Takumi has 26 def and Dragonskin reduces damage after that by 25% down to 33.
Depending on what the Dragon Fang calculation actually is, you could probably lose a couple points of damage and still be in the range of "ORKO with a DF proc".
|
Takumi had 26 defense when I checked just now, but all of that stands.
It's plenty possible to ORKO Takumi, and also pretty doable to finish this game without Kunai breaker with limited characters it seems. Only needing to get one unit to Takumi means you don't really care that much about that freeze maid screwing you over.
|
He does have 26 Def, I couldn't remember and checked the wrong column in my spreadsheet, lol.
Basically the only thing that can ruin your day is the Avatar getting Enfeebled, but that's super easy to avoid by putting the pair up unit in front on the first turn.
|
That also means you need to have enough firepower to survive all of the riff raff on top without using your avatar. I don't think you can wait for the enfeeble go wear off because reinforcements are time based. Maybe there's a creative rescue skip that can get you there in one turn...I'd have to look at the map for a while.
|
It takes 2 turns, but you don't engage combat on the first turn.

"So Conquest is a pretty bitch with the worst personality but has such good sex you can't help but call her back
Birthright is like a really cute girl who you see, have an really good talk with, but then fails in bed so badly that you push her back into the friendzone.
Then revelations. Oh revelations, she walks in and promises to be the best of both worlds. But she is not as nice birthright but not as sexy as Conquest and because you have already experienced the others first you only come back because she has a few select niches over the others. But then, at the end of the day, she got your money, and that's all she ever wanted."
Best YouTube post of all time

That's...pretty accurate from my experience. Though I never bought Birthright and definitely don't want to now that I've played Revelations. Also, Revelations is so damn boring I stopped playing. After I duo-killed an entire map with just Avatar and Ryoma twice in a row, I just didn't see the point.
