My team also has enough A-supports to be able to reconfigure this pretty reasonably. Jakob and Silas support each other so they don't necessarily need to be paired with their spouses, while Soleil and Sophie support each other if their parents are otherwise paired.

Team is mostly rounding out with Shigure and Ignatius a bit underleveled compared to the rest of my team. Shigure has nobility so I'm not too worried about him. The tricky part coming up will be level and money management. I want Kamui to get 1 level as Nohr Noble to get Draconic Hex and 2 levels as Malig Knight to get trample. Shura needs to get Kunai Breaker by chapter 25. He's currently level 13 as an Adventurer and I need to either get 4 levels in the next two chapters or reclass now. Not sure if I want Ophelia to get lifetaker and Odin to pick up swordfaire. Seems more like a luxury rather than a necessity right now and I still haven't worked out which uber weapons I will want to buy for endgame.

Playing a Conquest playthrough with a Ballistician avatar sounds like an interesting experience.

They aren't even that special post-promote its just using a DF Scroll or Great Lord seal early is basically giving you a second Pally Jakob.

http://i.imgur.com/hKKno2G.jpg He's on pace to be about two defense short of Xander from my last run, which is probably about as good as I hoped he could get. In some ways he's a bit better because of the vantage astra combo filling up the dual guard guage. Corrin might have been able to do the same job if I reclassed him out of flyer, but I wanted trample ASAP. Probably will keep him as wyvern afterwards rather than trying to squeeze put a few more skills.

On a different note, as a whole I think I like Malig Knight as a class better than Wyvern Lord. The stat differences seem to really be in favor of Malig Knight until you hit the speed cap. 1 def hasn't really been a game changer on my Corrin, while there were a lot of situations where 5 resistance would have made things a lot simpler. +6 magic base is icing on the cake, and unnecessary as a +Mag Corrin (ORKO came easily in wyvern lord), but would allow you to go +Spd/+Def instead. +Str too I guess, but Corrin still pretty much exclusively used Bolt Axe from the chapter it was available. Rally defense is the better level 5 skill, but it's rarely been used with easy access to Felicia's strategist aura and Benny pairups. Beruka seems like a pretty mediocre unit and I can see her using it more, but Corrin almost always would rather have done an attack player phase.

Also, if you want a Rally Def bot, the easiest one to get it on is Gunter. I was telling Frudgey this, but Gunter is honestly criminally underrated outside of LTC contexts since Forceful Partner is actually a fair bit better than Supportive or Evasive Partner, and Gunter has a big advantage over Jakob and Felicia which is that he can fly, so for non-flying avatar builds he gives a significant boost in mobility as a pair-up.

The partners are kind of a wash for me. If you go +Mag, Felicia support nets you more damage on magic attacks than Gunter, with the additional benefits of Maid support (which admittedly Leon and Odin also want). What I like about Gunter is that he takes pretty much no investment to be useful. Even if you S ranked the other partner, generic guy on a horse that gives a ton of defense and movement as a pair up is usable pretty much all the time, and you don't miss out on that much by benching the starter late game. He's amazing on a +Str avatar, because you pretty much never fall off damage wise with respects to the enemy's defensive stat increases.

EDIT: Funny thing is that since Gunter has the Wyvern line, he can actually still help Magic avatars by reclassing to Malig Knight. Forceful Partner + Malig Knight pair up bonuses give you a pretty sweet mix of damage and bulk, but requires your Speed to already be good enough.

She's a better boss killer than Mozu and has really good EP options with generally high avoid, calamity gate silliness and nosferatu.

There are also some really obnoxious things like the entire map being really hard to read on turns with all wind in Fuga's map, or the 3d tiles obscuring tiles behind them like on the ship or forest chapters. The unmarked forest tiles on chapter 19 are also up there if it wasn't a map dominated by fliers. As a whole unit map graphics seem less animated than in awakening and even the gba incarnations giving it a static feel.

Also, is it just me or is Arthur literally Captain Gordon, Defender of Earth?

CH 25 was kind of annoying because I didn't quite have enough resources to take both sides simultaneously. If I ever had to do a low man run again, I might get Ninja Corrin one way or another just to solo Ryouma without having to clear both sides. Burned 3 freeze uses, a Rescue, and one entrap on the left side, leaving 2 entraps, 3 rescues, and 7 freezes for the final 3 maps. I'm not really good at planning things like endgame without the game in front of me, so I'm probably just going to wing it and hope I have enough resources at that point. Chapter 26 will probably use one rescue to pull back whoever triggers the door into the death room of mages and one entrap to pull Hans out of his group. I probably don't need silence staves here. Monster side might be easier as well, but I'm not seeing it atm.

Technically it would have been possible with just the rescues, but the silence staff made it that much easier. Silence staves would be really to buy, if you could. 26, on my original run, I had Arthur and Percy sit in the corridor once the enemies were agitated, and that worked pretty well. After I had Arthur (with Axe Breaker) take on Hans. It worked pretty well.
