My avatar is garbage actually, one of my weaker characters. Kana is almost stronger then him already. I can definitely 2 round him though, I retained most of the good offensive units. Just lacking in support/tanks

I can't remember off the top of my head where rescue drops you but it shouldn't matter because you can just choose the east side or west side respectively. The unit to kill Hans will need to be paired up with an 8 mov unit to be able to reach Hans from there, and will ideally be a bow user or magic user because of his skills.

You will need 9 movement to reach that point from the position 1S1E/W, so you will need falcon + pair up with one mov bonus. You're right I dont even need 2 now that i think about it, takumi can definitely one shot him. Alright ill try that when i get home, thanks. And the red hair girl is falcon knight, her name escapes me. I just use her as a pair up think its hinoto or something idk.

If you have Subaki he can do it as well if you made him a falco knight. I have never used Subaki (in birth Hinoka comes in the next chapter and in Rev, Kaze is a way better option imo). How good is he?

Only person I lost early that legitimately annoyed me was Oboro dying to a low % crit. everything else was my fault.

I used him on my first playthrough as well as Hinoka. He is good mid game but I think his end game stats don't hold up to being an offensive powerhouse like Avatar/Ryoma/Takumi. Even some other ones I have done like Oboro Spearmaster and Mozu Sniper are more effective in handling units late game because his benefit is high mobility and staff usage. I would use him mid game for counter magic users, but late game hes more of a pair up to give well rounded defense stats (A rank is +3spd +2skl +2def +3res +1move) edit: On my first playthrough Kaze was my late game anti caster over the falcoknights. Shurikens were way more useful for me than spears on falcoknights.

He has mediocre growths that aren't quite good enough to hold up to your lategame team, but his bases and movement ensure that he's useful early-midgame. EDIT: He's not really an anti-caster TBH. His defining quality is his high base physical bulk and uncharacteristically high HP/Def growth for a PegKnight. His Res growth is actually quite low, but his base is good enough to keep him going. His bases and growth spread are much more characteristic of a Cav than a PegKnight. Comparing him to Hinoka is interesting because even though nominally they're in the same class, they have very different functions given how drastically different their stat spreads are. Hinoka very quickly outclasses him in terms of overall usefulness because of how absurd her bases/growths are, but since on Birthright you really lack units to play that "physically bulky mounted unit" niche occupied by Cavs and Wyverns, he fills in that role through most of the midgame once you have the Guard Naginata. Again, much more like a Cav than a PegKnight.

Subaki is Birthright's way of giving you 2 Cavs without actually giving you 2 Cavs.

In Conquest the traditional advantages of mounted movement are much more apparent, especially given that all 4 royals recruit mounted and the route's design has a much greater player phase emphasis.

If dancing isn't 2/9 I'm probably missing my target to get Shigure's map before chapter 12. Edit: there also seems to be some sort of variable that keeps track of how many times you've hit a specific unit preventing you from farming weapon exp on them.

Stopped at Ch. 6 because I realized that with 3 units in my draft fighting for the first 2 Heart Seals, I need to plan how I do my reclassing carefully. Not sure I can afford to wait till Ch. 13 to reclass one of them, but we'll see. Might need some Friendship or Partner Seal shenanigans to get where I want (Basara Jakob to work on lance rank without eating the Heart Seal would be...interesting). Though the right way to do this is probably just to put off the Avatar's reclass and eat an Arms Scroll later because that maximizes my early team strength. I don't need to save an Arms Scroll for one of the Wyverns like I normally would since I can't use them anyway, and my Avatar is going to do the Ch. 19 lowman stuff. I would assume it's the same as Awakening where hitting the same unit repeatedly would diminish XP gains as well. I don't remember if Awakening's diminishing returns affected weapon XP, mostly because weapon XP kind of raised too quickly in that game for it to really matter (especially on characters that got Discipline from Cav).

Chapter 20 has been giving me trouble but I completely messed up on my last attempt and got felicia killed to a falcoknight because I couldn't shelter her. I am going to take a day or two break since Nova Covert Ops comes out today and I want to try it out, but will finish the run soon. edit: I forgot to respond to your other post. I did not know that about S class with Selena/Keaton (although I have them paired together atm). Thats awesome to hear, although I think my Selena has decent HP growth so far (at 35 right now level 7 or 8 Hero), but more for free is better.

I also may have undercalculated how much support I got on Azura, as I didn't get the next convo after finishing the invasion map. It might be fine if you only get one convo per game chapter, as I already got the convo at the end of chapter 9, but I'm otherwise way behind my expected pace. I danced at least 30 times on ch 9, gaiden 1 and invasion 1 to be safe. If things are going as I planned, I should have 9 support points Odin x Elise and somewhere above 9 points Azura x Corrin (not sure how the my castle bonus works), and am at the beginning of chapter 10. Elise is promoted after hitting level 14.

It was the last real set of reinforcements that would have been bothersome (the Kinshi knights). After that it would have just been a slow clear through the map since the only other reinforcements that come are top left and not as painful as the ones from the right side.
