logged in an hour before the arena closed to do my run because i forgot this week and managed to get a deathless run on my first try, ended up getting #14th rank in my tier too. neat.

Here are most of the solid (I think) characters that I've been using or leveling up casually. 5* -- Takumi [40], Marth [40], Elise [40], Tharja, Ike, Caeda, Nowi, Spring Lucina, Eirika 4* -- Kagero [40], Camilla, MRobin, Nino, Xander, Olivia I have ~100 more that I've not really touched but haven't deleted any either. I think I merged a couple once just to see what it did, but other than that I might have some good options for inheritance available, esp if I bump them up to 4* if need be. Basically, are there all-purpose carries that become much stronger with a few easy inherits? Or is it more of a min/max thing for specific arena comps/counters | ||

Or is it more of a min/max thing for specific arena comps/counters There's definitely some most-purpose carries. For example, on the team I just posted above Nowi carries that team pretty hard. Generally, blade tome users, Reinhardt, brave weapon users, Nowi, and a couple of others are popular candidates. For example out of the ones that you mentioned Tharja, Nowi, Kagero, and Nino are all potential options. It's good that you also have a dancer and Eirika because they tend to pair pretty well with these carry-style teams. Dancers are almost universally useful as well | ||

How do you even get defense points, I've got a grand total of 0 defense points so far. Also, I've managed to raise a 5* Corrin(M) but he feels fairly underwhelming so far with his basic skillset. Kinda wish I had anything that can stand up to green mages in the Tempest Trials because I'm wiping to Veronica with a whimper on hard difficulty. | ||

You do have to do a round each week before they'll start pairing your team against others though. So asides from playing 1 match of Arena every Tuesday, and putting your best team in as your defense team (with a bonus unit on it, don't forget that.), not sure what to tell you. I have a Corrin as well and he's pretty underwhelming unfortunately. His stat distribution is just really awkward. Every way that you could want to build him, someone else does it better, and he doesn't really hit any important breakpoints in terms of speed/atk, either. I can't really give you much good advice for beating Veronica, I haven't been able to kill her once on Lunatic (I don't really have any great red units other than Tiki, I have a Lucina but she has -ATK). The way the points are structured you're pretty much encouraged to just spam highest level Lunatic, even if you can't beat the final stage, just because it's worth more points just getting there than beating it on any other difficulty. Green mages usually give me the most trouble in Arena, anyway, so I wasn't expecting much else. | ||

(Also, I just checked the results for the season that just ended and apparently I finally got defense points this season! Pretty happy about that tbh.) Just tried the Lunatic Tempest Trial, got wrecked on the 2nd map with a level 40 Hector spawn, haha. Think I need to get past at least the 2nd map in Lunatic or its not worth it because I can usually clean up the 4 maps before Veronica in hard, which gets me 112 per run, the same as winning 2 on Lunatic. | ||

I wouldn't mind doing a draft run. That said, I've been pretty flaky when it comes to actually doing the draft run, so give others a chance before me. I use a male Robin in the tempest trials right now because of the bonus but can be exchanged for pretty much anything, likely something that can tank a hit or two from a high res target so that those characters can be baited in. Judging from the characters you posted you are missing a strong Green character right now, Erika can fill red, nowi can fill blue. Nowi, Erika, Nino, Dancer(Olivia in your case) should be a solid team to clear pretty much anything. The last 3 of those are the core of the lineup. Erika doesn't need much nor does Olivia to make it work, is nice if you can beef them up but not neccesary, Just make sure you get Desperation and Fury for Nino and you should be good to go. | ||

I have a Nino but I never saw her appeal. Soren for me works wonders in shutting down any mage because he has very strong speed to nullify counter attacks all together. I have a 5* Linde who also does insane damage (49 attack/42 speed without any C skill + modifiers). You can make a solid Arena team with very little, just make sure you have some diversity to handle teams. Subaki and Olivia are from free hero rotation, and I got lucky with Lucina/Soren, but you can replace them with any decent Red (which you seem to have), and any decent mage (even if it is not green, having a mage to counter high def units is nice flexibility). Focus in arena is winning without deaths. For Lunatic I kinda stopped doing it until quite a bit later when I had more units. Once I had a larger roster to choose from for each map it was pretty easy. Keep at it, you'll get more people to fill out your team well enough. | ||

Some units just happen to be insanely powerful too, such as his Nowi, and just their raw power and team building around them will make them able to handle any unit comp. | ||
