If I were a part of the draft, I'd try harder to actually play the draft, heh... I'll see if I can find someone, though if someone here is interested, we could do it with 4-5. I think part of the problem with me is that I'm pretty predictable with my draft picks. I don't think I'd end up surprising anyone. Frudgey, you never don't surprise me

I can consistently get to the last map on my first team on Lunatic 5, but I have no one that can beat the boss chick, she just ORKOs every single person I have with nobody that can ORKO her back unless I get a fully buffed Tharja with Moonbow up and full health. Lunatic 7 I get to the last map 1/2 of the time but still can't beat it.

Lunatic 7 I get to the last map 1/2 of the time but still can't beat it.
Three characters I've used to beat Veronica on Lunatic 7 really reliably:
1. Julia with G Tome Breaker 3 2. 5* Selena 3. Lyn
Julia does a monstrous amount of damage if she hits twice off tome breaker and can easily tank one hit from Veronica assuming none of her allies are still around to finish you off. Selena can also tank Veronica and then she hits a bunch of times. And then Lyn just goes whack-whack-whack-whack with Galeforce, and if you've tanked a hit and she's below half health, you ORKO.
Having someone like Titania also helps because she can do some chip damage to Veronica and make it easier for your sword character to get a kill.
That last level can be really nasty depending on who the other heroes are, but I find what usually works for me is to pick one character who can kill the mage cav, one who can kill the melee cav, a ranged character who can damage the knight, and then one of those three for Veronica (assuming I've lost one team already). Triangle expert/sapphire-emerald-ruby weapon characters are super strong on that map generally, I've beaten it with 4* Subaki or Narcian if too many of my 5* characters are all dead. You kill the mage cav turn 2, melee cav turn 3, then just bum rush Veronica and her ranged buddy on turn 4. As long as one of them dies and the knight isn't able to attack anyone, you kill Veronica after that, and then whittle down the knight with your ranged character.
Also, I'm pretty sure you only go down in Survivability rank if a whole team gets wiped, so sacrificing a hero or two on that last map won't cost you in that regard.
On another note, I used like 60 orbs on the Tempest Trial banner and got 5* Liliana, who from what I understand is just straightforwardly worse than Tharja. Now that I only have 12 orbs left, I'm trying to decide if it's worth still trying to pull for Tharja/Lucina/more Nowis or if I should just wait.

Was playing more Echoes last night, and I had some questions for you guys.
For context, I was romping around as Celica on chapter 3.
First question - Where is a shrine of Mila? I've got some units that I want to promote soon, and I don't see a shrine anywhere. I'm thinking I'm going to have to clear the map with the boss that has the shadow sword. Spooky.
Second question - How dangerous are witches? Are they like Chaos Space Marines where they'll teleport on the map and focus down your weakest unit no problem? How good is their A.I.? Because I feel like they've got the potential to be terrifying. Not even Valbar will be able to save me.
Third question - How do I choose between Sonya and Deen? For example, if I wanted Deen, do I go to the map with Deen on it, or do I go for the map with Sonya on it? Also, who should I go for? I'm thinking Sonya because I already have three mercenaries, ATLUS and Valbar. Thoughts?
Fourth question - How good is Jesse? I recall hearing that his growths are OFF THE RAILS.
Fifth question - How does speed work in this game? I don't know why people get doubled and some don't. I'm hoping Yango knows the formula. That guy knows Fire Emblem better than he knows his family.
Sixth question - Does fatigue have an effect on standard maps or is it only for dungeons? I'm unclear on this.
That's all I had for questions. (and I know I had a lot of questions) Valbar really saved my bacon on the map where there was the desert fortress that had nothing but archers.

That's all I had for questions. (and I know I had a lot of questions) Valbar really saved my bacon on the map where there was the desert fortress that had nothing but archers. 1. Celica has a mila shrine in the one dungeon near the end of the route
2. Witches die in one hit, and shouldn't orko anyone on celica's route. Though valbar may have trouble. Their ai is a bit wonky, but expect them to 50/50 warp in front or behind
3. If you want sonya fight deen and vice versa, personally i go for sonya. Three df are enough, and your mages aren't nearly as good by comparison
4. Jesse is solid, he isn't kliff or alm, but he'll get the job done
5. If your speed is 1 point higher you double. Keep in mind weapon/magic weight as this will affect speed.
6. Fatigue only affects dungeons. Just feed a little food to the fatigued individual and you good to go

If you haven't gotten to Dragon Shrine, you have to backtrack to Seabound Shrine to promote. Going to Dragon Shrine before you've beaten Grieth's Fort isn't really recommended, so either backtrack or just wait.

I'll look to see if I can backtrack, but I think the landslide has blocked me off. I might just go for Dragon Shrine, then.
I have enough confidence in Valbar's ability to get things done I'm willing to discount Yango's sound advice, which is particularly foolhardy considering Yango has never, ever given me bad Fire Emblem advice.

You can still backtrack to the isle of novis. Just go to Zofia Port and take a boat

The landslide prevents you from re-accessing Zofia castle and Alm's side, everything else that was accessible in Celica Ch. 2 can still be reached. There are actually some significant sidequests that require access to that part of the map.

Oh that makes sense. Thanks guys for the response.
I like how I can come here and ask my questions and someone always responds. Thanks again.

Regarding Jesse/Sonya/Deen, Deen is generally regarded as the better choice, simply because of how much mages struggle to be useful on Ch. 4 Celica's side (Mage Ring helps, but you only have 1 Mage Ring, so there's not much gain in having another mage around to use it when you're probably giving it to Celica anyway). 2 Mov in swamps is just competely terrible (though if Frudgey is still using Valbar at that point, I suppose 2 Mov is fine compared to Valbar's 1). Jesse is serviceable, but Deen is still a significant upgrade over him when you're using 3 DFs, given the huge disparity in base level. You have to do a lot of work to catch Jesse up to Saber and Kamui, while Deen is more or less fine from the get-go.
Sonya *is* better to have than Deen in postgame. The movement disparity matters less because dungeon maps aren't that large and don't have a ton of terrain. Max-forged Ladyblade used by a female mage is arguably strongest weapon in the game, and Sonya's basically the only female mage who isn't made of paper. Meanwhile, all the DFs are more or less equivalent postgame after looping.

Man, I can't decide whether or not to spend more orbs on the Lucina banner before it's gone. I did a lot of red pulls on it last week trying for her (how I got 5* Tharja) but I have so much red right now, and Ike to sort of fill in her role... I like her and wanted her specifically but I really don't think I need it lol. Should probably save up for a banner with some good greens. I have no green 5*

Ike is better than Lucina anyways and you can get the 4* or 5* from tempest which is close enough. I dropped 100 orbs into blues on the vantage banner for Reinhardt and got what I wanted so I'm going to hold out for now.

And you can bet I'll be taking Valbar to late game. Do boots grant one or two movement?

Nice. I have 4* Reinhardt sitting at level 40, his stats don't seem that good honestly. I'm thinking I should make him 5*, but idk, why is he considered so good?

I'm currently torn on which character to 5*, currently sitting on Nowi, Corrin(M) and Mist (y game, y u do dis) as 5*. I have 25k feathers so could even do a 3* character all the way to 5*.
The two best candidates are Effie and Klein on 4*, both are pretty good and pulled their weight even as 4*s. Other 4*s are Eliwood, Olivia, Raven, Cecilia, Lyn, Azama, Donnel. Most feels underwhelming except Olivia but I really want to keep my dancers at their current level while the Tempest Trial is ongoing.
For 3*, the only ones I'm currently feeling like they might be good to 5* are Nino, another Olivia (my main dancer atm since its higher leveled than the 4* one), and the starter trio of Anna, Alfonse and, Shareena.

It hits armor knights even harder because their movement penalty on desert is a factor of 3 instead of 2 (meaning they only have 1 Mov).
Also, Milo said he's willing to do a draft again if you guys want to do the FE8 draft at some point. If we can find a 5th, that'd be fine, but it works okay with 4.

Hope you guys are ready for some predictable draft picks.
