Ugh there are still save Civilian mission that now even run away from fire fights, so they run towards aliens even easier. Yay.

With a couple of them being undercover Aliens (Faceless) as well. And there are events that let civilians on normal missions be Faceless as well!
Can't wait for Friday to wipe a couple of runs in a row.

I was initially skeptical about Bradford's new voice actor, but after watching some previews, especially now that streamers/youtubers are allowed to show cutscenes, I was proved otherwise.

Oh, and Tygan is doing the autopsies himself. That alone makes him more than Vahlen

Jesuuuuus, the comment section of the reviews are filled with console peas... i mean players crying for the game "should be" on PS4/XB1, while i have no doubts that some day it will be there, i dont think theres an actual reason for it to be released on consoles, after all the game sold REALLY poorly on last gen consoles, and those had a much bigger player base.

All I can remember Firaxis saying is that they did not rule out releasing it on consoles at some point (don't remember where). But not ruling out an release on consoles does not mean that a release will happen for sure.

idk why it wouldn't work on consoles, just make it a tile locked cursor system like FFT was, it would port perfectly.. in fact they could basically just copy FFT's systems and still be fine..

ok so what setting will you use for your first playthrough?
i am leaning towards a lower difficulty (2/4 or something similar) and ironman but there are a billion reasons why i shouldnt do that.
first i am terrible at dealing with losses, second i am terrible at dealing with randomness and third i hate unnecessary withholding of information. i am going to binge playing it though so i will make a lot of dumb decisions which leads to a reliance on randomness which will lead to losses. so yeah i would be going to yell a lot and possibly destroy random things on my desk.
but if i go for a different setting like 3/4 and no ironman the game might be too easy due to snowballing and the game will leave a void inside of me because i finish the game after 20 or 30 hours or so.

i hope they have included a bronzeman setting and that will be my choice if available. if not it is either extreme frustration or absolute emptiness. :/

I won't be enabling ironman on my first few run, all the reviews suggest there are lots of glitches present in the release, I'm not ready to deal with teleporting alien pods and other horrors. Won't be save scumming and I expect fully to get pounded repeatedly by pretty much everything, can't wait.
legendary difficulty looking forward getting molested by weird aliens

I'm just going to do the first run through on whatever's the equivalent of Classic difficulty with at least a little bit of save scumming just to see the ending, then start with Ironman and/or modded runs.

Whatever the second lowest difficulty is called. While I do enjoy challenges in strategy games, I don't want to overwhelm myself from the very start.

Even the most hysterical real life civilians aren't AI-controlled. Videogame rescue missions are always a pain.

I am going to spend to much time creating my characters as well. In fact I have even gathered photo-references for the various characters that I am going to make
