If Duke Nukem isn't on any of your lists then your doing it wrong.

Can't fight aliens without having the most baddest mofo to ever kill aliens on your team.

i have heard somewhere and i have no idea where that the legendary difficulty is easier in the mission department, but harder on the strategy map compared to xcom2012. no idea whether it is true, but if so i might do a legendary-ironman run as my second playthrough. in the predecessor i never liked the super aliens they throw at you very early on.

i assume it will be possible to import characters right? i dont really care for customization but if i can get some recognizable characters by simply importing them ill do it.

Missed your second paragraph, you can import other's players pools. But i don't know if you can choose which characters from it to import. Even though you can choose which ones to export, so the option might be there.

ah thats cool. yeah as said i dont really care for it but if i have a character that makes me laugh once in a while its a pleasant change to yelling at the screen.

Legend is designed to be easier than Impossible in the sense that it should be winnable without having to basically break game mechanics. But the devs have also been tweaking it to be more difficult than the preview build showed.

Van Doorn is nothing compared to the King. I always found the "Van Doorn" trend to be annoying.

Supposedly Commander is the the new Classic (and harder than Classic, too). I think that enemies get stat buffs on higher difficulties (definitely more hp/armor) and there are more enemies as well.

I believe in Legendary, buildings take longer to build and research as well. Also, more enemies I'd imagine and more health.

Yep, and Mark Nauta/Jake Solomon had said that they had been tweaking legendary even after review builds were sent out, so we will see at release where legendary truly sits at.

But to begin with you should expect more enemies per mission/pod, and higher health, and obviously higher requirements for tech/build stuff.

*edit enemies don't get more health in civilization as difficulty goes up the enemy AI just start with more techs, a worker and settler and player is more gimped in every single way, is what I meant.

As opposed to what? writing an AI that is actually more intelligent to the point where he beats good human players is incredibly difficult.
So you have to give the aliens bonuses (hp and aim) and on the highest difficulty that is not enough for the challenge your only course is handicapping players.

Sorry but your games don't come with Deep Blue software.

We will see, but i will be honest, i don't see the problem with that.

The problems that i had seen is that at the preview and review builds, many enemies are very predictable completely pidgeonholed into roles and same use of skills over and over (pectoid's zombis...). Having more health and aim, actually is not a bad thing either.
