If we started in Talador/Spires of Arak, I'd have 11 100s by now.
At this rate i'l have gotten 3.5 levels from entering draenor and doing shadowmoon valley, with no heirlooms or rested exp :D i'm going kinda completionist mode

If you stick to the main story and any quests that reward followers Frostwall isn't so bad. That's pretty much my system for getting characters to 100 (I have 10 now).
- Before Arak only complete building quests, the main storyline, and anything that rewards followers, then move on to the next zone. With rest you'll hit 96 before you finish the Talador story, at which point you simply stop and head to Arak.
- Build the Inn in Arak and just do everything. Grab the less accessible followers here to hit 20/20 and save the rest for when you upgrade your barracks at level 100.
- Finish up in Nagrand. Start with the building quest chain for the free blueprint and follower, then just follow your bliss.
I imagine with heirlooms you could pretty much ignore the Talador storyline entirely, and might hit level 100 before even reaching Nagrand (though I'd still recommend doing the building quest there for the free blueprint and follower).
The only other important thing is building a Trading Post as early as possible so you're not struggling to build/upgrade stuff once you hit level 100.

Downed kromog tonight. The boss is easier then I thought it would be, just a coordinated dps check really.

Isn't healing a major issue? Due to the smash takes big damage and healers actually have to push buttons?

Its basically just a major healing check we had huge issues with breath RNG and it screwed us over if we got 4 breaths prior to the first pillar phase. Downed it myself yesterday for first time and i'm still amazed as to how coordinated we had to be as a healing team (Had our paladin BoPing our shaman so I could leap of faith him into the Shaman using Ascendance and going HAM with 4 set proc)
Then again we were 3.5 healing it due to inability to stack boomkins / hunters so it may be different to people able to stack those classes

Healing isn't too bad when you coordinate raid cooldowns. Kromog is all about seeing if you can get the pillars down in the timing window.

Again due to the RNG involved you can't coordinate perfectly especially when two of the cool downs being rotated are Link / Barrier which are really hard to use if he breaths right after a hand phase

why on earth would u skip talador soulbinder #1 wifey follower
|
I have a real wife. gg
More seriously Tuulani gets Group Damage for free (which is the rarest ability next to Magic Debuff), so she's not a bad pick up. However, it's a really long quest chain to do for just one follower and doesn't have the 20% exp boost of Arak, plus if you're Horde the fact that she's Draenei means she can't synergize with your other followers.

Who cares, cute draenei priestess, dream follower ^_^
With heirlooms my mage hit 100 by fully doing Frostfire and doing the southern part of Gorgrond and that was it. Did a few instances while questing. Didn't have the loom ring, didn't use xp potions or any other boosters.

I hit pretty much hit 95 from the intro and Shadowmoon.. no heirlooms, little rested exp, no boosts etc. No dungeons either. Gorgrond gives way more exp (those 100 treasures all over the zone really help)
How do you guys get your honor? I was just gonna take a detour and start working on 5k honor for transmog set, but i did a WSG and got literally 11 honor for about 15 minutes of my time. Is this set gonna take me 100 hours to earn, or am i doing it wrong? :D

Damnit
also was pretty sad to discover that blizzard put an instant teleport on some of the long range flight paths, that instantly poofs you 95% of the way there. What happened to seeing the scenery?

I'm still disappointed there is no portals to Exodar / Silvermoon in Draenor its like they are trying to pretend those cities never happened

You mean flock to that guy on the group finder who has bank and auction house in his garrison? ;P

The reason why that flight path teleported was that Quel'danas was behind a loading zone from the rest of the world.
