Want to level that thing up but I have no idea how to afford it. Lumber Mill, though it is also limited. I know just about everyone is taking Tavern and Barn. Personally I dropped the Barn to get the Mill. Everyone is crazy about the Barn. I like the missions system though and I wanna level up all my followers and I think that skipping crafted gear is going to have very little impact on my ilvl. And I'll just buy the food or ingredients I need for food buffs. TY NonY!That's good to know. Guess I didn't look close enough. Insta picked the trade post because herbs are unaffordable and I wanted to craft darkmoon cards asap. It's one of the fun things atm to decide between doing that one other mission to level my followers or save everything up for the next building. I know farming those rares is limited but check out HandNotes - Draenor on curse. That addon will show you all the treasure spawns that contain garrison resources. I'll go through all regions again in a few weeks to finish the quests and see the rest of the storyline. But I don't think it's the best plan for the upcoming 2 weeks : ) Does the addon show everything or does it have information about killed rares/opened treasures to ease one's "work"?

I dont think you can decently play on any EU server. I for one will try at 2 am again.

EU was working fine if you got on. I was in Spires of Arak when my power at my house surged and it kicked me off. Now in a 2k person queue with estimated 1200 minute time!
Every EU server is full with most having big queues.
That alone should indicate they need a bit larger infrastructure for this but we will see how long it continues i guess.

What a great decision it was to switch to Kazzak with some friends a year ago

NA servers are up. Logged in within minutes to find myself ~1000 in queue but it ticked down very quickly. Now finding myself stuck at 'retrieving character list'.

Actually it seems all servers are gardended at the moment.

I've never played near a launch, but now I wish I had the foresight to have a 90 in a low pop server.

I'm fine in my server but it's definitely barely considered Medium
I rarely went to Garrison yesterday, did no instances, and fought lag the entire way so I hope it's a bit better today for NA.

I am aware of why they did it. The issue I see is that most people could see this coming and Blizzard has not really addressed it. I am not sure why they thought their servers could handle a huge influx of people with a new expansion without any sort of back up plan. They may have had one but it failed, who knows for sure. I know that in a business model though, they probably should have seen these issues before they happened and been able to react quickly to them instead of being forced to cut server caps to then make 2000+/4hr+ queues for their player base.

I'm stuck at 1785 right now, after 30 minutes of waiting and starting at 2551.

It's different than past expansions. 1) There are no new races, 2) there are no new classes 3) there is only 1 place to go for the first part of your leveling experience: garrison locations. On top of that, their level 90 boost probably brought back more people than they were expecting and funneled them to garrisons! In other expansions, there wasn't this single bottleneck location since a lot of people wanted to make new characters, like monks, death knights, goblins, worgens, and so on. You had a large number of people funneling to the brand new leveling content, and if that was unpleasant, you'd roll a new character and balance out the localized stress, maybe on a low pop server to boot. Now it's a single bottleneck with no overflow mechanism.

Would love if my queue went that fast =D. Started at 2200 down to 1200 after 1.5 hours.
Watching Dota Cinema Captains draft though to kill time.

Now it's a single bottleneck with no overflow mechanism. Additionally Cata and Wotlk also had 2 start zones. Technically WoD has one for ally and horde but since a lot of servers are extremely lopsided there is only 1 zone for everyone to go to.
Another factor is heavily nerfed dungeon xp. Normally you would have a portion leveling purely inside dungeons and your also missing a portion there, some still did it but a lot less.
Every 2 levels your also send back to your garrison again instead of keeping along with the flow, ect ect
Its just a stacking issue of there being no load spreading mechanics so a 20k pop server has 10k+ people trying to get to the very same spot.
started a 2k queue over 2 hours ago, 600 left to go >< I only need 2 more levels, just wanne get it done so i can idle in Dalaran while spamming dungeons

I really hope this estimate isn't correct. 37 hours ;_;

The insane queue numbers are pretty much just the server adjusting for the lowered cap and making skewed calculations. It's rarely more than an hour. Though in fairness I am currently going on minute 55 in queue, with another 4.7k people ahead of me. I don't blame Blizzard for this, but I do expect some free game time as compensation.
Edit: it's even better that the server still thinks I'm online because the only way to log out is alt F4 due to the absurd lag, resulting in my not being able to use the free character migration.

I queued up at 1:10 pm CST, about an hour and 45 minutes ago. I'm now at 1440 in the queue. I guarantee that I will be in this queue for longer than 3 hours.
